WELCOME TO THE HAUTE ROUTE ALPS 2014
24th August 2014 will celebrate the start of the 4th edition of the Haute Route Alps.
You will be amongst 500 riders to line up in Geneva and begin your journey.
!
Within the starters, many of you are first timers taking on this unique challenge, whereas no less
than 20% of you have already enjoyed the achievement of finishing a Haute Route! This is true
testimony to how this multi-stage sportive from Geneva to Nice has attracted a large number of
strong-willed amateur athletes to embark on this adventure.
!
The course will take you up and over 20 mythical ascents, part of the legend of cycling. You've
trained hard, you're ready!
!
You face a route held over 7 stages and will experience 'The Highest & Toughest Sportive in the
World' with an exclusive time-trial at L’Alpe D’Huez, a 1860m finish. More important than your
performance, what matters most is to finish; it represents an exceptional personal victory.
!
Finish on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, crack open the Champagne with your riding
comrades and share with other finishers and peers your memories. Ride the Haute Route to
write a story worth retelling and create memories that will last a lifetime.
