DAAD Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst German Academic Exchange Service DAAD-IIT Exchange of Faculty Announcement 2014 Objectives To promote collaboration between the Indian Institutes of Technology and the TU 9 Universities in Germany Target Group Faculty of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Duration 14 days to 3 months Scholarship Value Requirements and Conditions Application Documents 2,000 euros for assistant teachers, assistant professors and lecturers; 2,150 euros for professors Travel costs to the host institution to be covered by the home IIT At least two-thirds of the stay in Germany should be focused on research at one of the participating TU 9 Universities The visit should be on reciprocal basis i.e. the visit of the Indian faculty should be followed by a visit of the German counterpart Faculty applying for this programme is expected to establish contact with German counterparts themselves, as well as draft out a mutually convenient programme for the visit. It is important that the German counterpart agree to the time schedule, as well as the programme. Letters from them to this effect have to be included with the application Invited German faculty should also indicate when they would be in a position to visit the respective IIT in question, and contact the DAAD Head Office for application procedure. The application procedure occurs online through the DAAD portal. You are also required to send 2 copy/copies of the "Application summary" (PDF file), which is generated in the DAAD portal after the online application procedure has been completed, by post to the application address. 1.
