Description: The presenters will share their partnership with a local professional development
high school by highlighting strategies secondary mathematics teachers employ to work with English
learners through videoed lessons, lesson planning sessions, and lesson reflections. They will also
discuss ways to utilize these videos in pre-service teacher education programs and in-service
teacher professional development.

Description: In this session, the presenters have a framework for implementing modeling tasks
in the classroom and findings from cross-sector discussion about the priorities of and challenges of
modeling in the math classroom.

INCOME – Integrating Computing and Mathematics Education

the project team to demonstrate how mathematics, computing and Common Core State Standards
were integrated.
