Rule for November and December, NO STRESS ALLOWED! Chill out and have fun, everything
will fall into place. Thought for the season…you have a choice every day, choose to be happy.
Class Pictures will be taken the week following the show. Classes will resume Monday,
January 5th. Please feel free to call anytime with questions, comments or concerns.

OUTBACK BOWL BOUND!
Watch our Brainerd Just For Kix 8th graders, and a few younger dancers, perform on January 1st
2015 at the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida. There will be over 350 performers at this year’s
event, 14 dancers from Brainerd Just For Kix and 9 of their family members. The dancers have
been working so hard to earn their way, we are so proud of the group that is representing
Brainerd Just For Kix.

Just a reminder of our cancellation policy as we head into winter
weather:
Should an unscheduled cancellation happen, you will be notified
via a school announcement, the Brainerd JFK website, email, text
(for those who subscribed) and radio station (WJJY)
announcement. A make up class will be scheduled as soon as
possible.
Please note – if school is cancelled or let out early due to
weather, there will be NO Just For Kix class that evening.

We are excited to announce that Just For Kix will be again holding the Senior Showcase! This
was created to enhance the competitive experience for the Senior Kix dancer. Attending
teams will definitely be Just For Kix’ best of the best. Our Brainerd Senior Kix will be
competing at this event in the spring and we wish them luck.

Dates: April 10th, 11th or 12th depending on how many teams register (It will be only ONE of the

The theme for the 2014 Winter show is Believe In The Power Of Your Dreams. With that we have a themed Finale’ titled “Believe” that we are so excited to teach
the dancers. K and older dancers will be meeting at the studio on 11/8 for finale practice. If you are NOT at this practice, you will need to learn the routine from a
friend to be in the finale. We will not be practicing this at class, so this is a VERY IMPORTANT practice to attend! This is open to ALL dancers, K-12th grade.

Show rehearsal will be at the Brainerd High School Gym. We rent the gym space for this rehearsal so it is VERY IMPORTANT that you make every effort to attend.
There will be three practice spaces: Gym #1 (where the audience bleachers usually are), Gym #2 (Main Gym) & Gym #3 (the back Gym behind the curtain at the
show), please pay attention to the schedule for where your dancer will be practicing.
Finale: Rehearsal will be for K and up dancers from 2:45-4:15pm in Gym #2, those who are not at the rehearsal will not be able to perform the finale at the show.
We will run dancers in show #1 first, then move to show #2 dancers and finish with show #3. You only have to attend the rehearsals for the shows that you
perform in.

Class pictures (with the exception of classes that do not have their costumes yet) will be held the week of
December 1st at the studio. Dancers should come at their REGULAR CLASS TIMES in their costume, with hair and
make-up ready. Hair can be however you would like it.

***All Preschool dancers will need to get their individual picture taken in their costume for the newspaper ad
announcing the Spring Show. Please make sure to stop by the JFK photographer that will be set up in the
entryway during picture week.
