INTRODUCTION:
The Department of Self Development Skills is pleased to issue this brief guide to the students of
IT140 Course. This guide provides information on exams, assessments and self-learning projects.
We advise our students to refer to this guide in case they have any queries about the curriculum.
IT140 COURSE DURATION & ATTENDANCE RULES:

The attendance is regularly taken for the sessions of (IT 140) curriculum. Attendance is mandatory
for all students. The students are expected to adhere to the regulations of attendance and attend
their sessions on time so as to avoid exceeding the number of absent hours which may otherwise
result in them being barred from appearing for the final exam.
The percentage of absent hours that results in the student being barred from appearing in final
exam = 25% from the curriculum hours (that is, 25% of 90 Hours) which is 23 hours.
Therefore, any student who is absent for 23 hours or more shall not be allowed to sit in the final
exam.

IT140 EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
The main source of learning is the book of computer skills that contains the main ideas and
gives an introduction clearly and easy to understand information technology, and also
contains practical subjects such as a word processor, spreadsheets and presentations.
Practical skills are described step-by-step through the pictures accompanying instructions.

E-LEARNING SYSTEM ERA:
In order to provide students with the content of the e-learning interactive, design decision
was computer skills in electronic form through an integrated system of e-learning ERA)),
which contains all of the modules of decision explaining sound and image. Which allows you
to study scheduled at any time and place, and the system also provides the student a very
important feature, a test pilot who trained at the way in which the real test.
The administration planned to provide students with a user name and a special pin number
to enter the system and use it since the beginning of the semester. You can access this

COURSE ASSESSMENT
The Exam online:
Mid-semester Exam will include the first unit and second grades and weight of only 30 degrees, and in the
final Exam includes the other four units are set forth in the table and the weight of grades 50 degrees as
described in the previous table.

TAKE A CHALLENGE (HOMEWORK):
The student must login to e-learning system (ERA) username and password to enable it to
perform Rating continuing, and this assessment setting based on course content
accessible manner in order to enable the student to art, and for grades Rating continuing
the system allows the student to re-solve the questions more than once, provided complete
solution without any hint.
Important Note: Students must complete all reviews (Take a Challenges) without
hints from the system.

SELF LEARNING PROJECT:
IT skills curriculum encourages students to develop themselves through self-learning activities. It
also urges students to acquire knowledge and skills in an enjoyable way and also to make use of
non-traditional learning techniques. To this effect, the students must complete a Self-Learning
Project as part of their course. The project evaluation represents 10 marks out of the total.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:
Each student chooses a specific topic from the proposed ones within the self-learning plan.
The trainer devotes 9 hours for the Self Learning Project in the class and the students must submit
their project to the trainer after that period.

Important Note:

Please note that if any student able to use Photoshop for his self-learning,
the student should be use his laptop to be evaluated by his trainer .

Please note that the total scores in the distribution of the former is 20 and
will be divided by 2, including self-learning project that has only 10 degrees
of total degrees decision.
