Since the dinner meet-up between Rotary Club of Tai Po, mother club of our College Rotaract Club, and the College two years ago, we have witnessed the development and growth of the Rotaract Club. Approximately a hundred guests participated in the Ceremony. Among the many guests were our Guests of Honor: District Governor of Rotary International District 3450, Mr. Eugene Fong; President of Rotary Club of Tai Po, Mr. Francis Au and District Rotaract Committee Chair, Mr. Silva Yeung. They gave speeches to encourage our Rotaract Committee members to achieve their goals and contribute to society with creativity. Professor Rance Lee, College Master, thanked the Mother Club Rotarians, District Officers, Dr. William Fong, Professor Nicole Cheung, College Fellow, and, last but not least, our chartered committee students. All of them paid huge effort and provided assistance along the Club formation. Our Sunseeker President Mr. Sunny Liu shared their ups and downs during the club establishment and activity organization. The ceremony was ended with a nice dinner with chat and laughter! Congratulations to SUNSEEKERS! 2.Summer Programme Kick-off Ceremony 暑期活動啓航禮 Students participating in the college organized summer programmes gathered together in the afternoon of 23rd May, to get final preparations before setting off. Professor Annisa C.H. Lee (李賴俊卿教授), Dean of Students, presented the College’s best wishes to the students. Other College members also gave their hearty encouragements to all students. Students were excited about their trips and wrote down their wishes and expectations in their “aircrafts”. Hope all students can get the most from their experience. First group of Professional Learning Scheme in Shanghai already set off on 25th May, while the first Overseas Language Programme to Canada and Summer Visiting Programme to Shanghai Fudan University will leave on 1st Jun and 5th Jul respectively, followed by the Service Trips to Sichuan and Summer Visiting Programme to Xi’an Jiaotong University. Bon voyage to all of our Sunnies! 1 SW-20140526 1.Scholarships for Academic Excellence 學業優異獎學金 To recognize students’ outstanding academic performance, the College is pleased to offer:Master’s List – Honor Award To acknowledge Top College student of each academic programme of each class, with year GPA not less than 3.5, from 2013/14 academic year Academic Excellence Scholarship – HK$20,000 To acknowledge students with excellent academic performance - highest GPA in each Faculty (with not less that 3.5) Academic Improvement Award – HK$5,000 To recognize students with significant academic improvement - Term GPA improved by at least 0.5 compared with previous term of the same academic year Application to the above scholarship is not required and the scholarship will be presented in the College Inauguration Ceremony in Sep 2014.
