Attach Supporting Documents to Tyler Content Manager (TCM)
Reference: Appendix A.9 Munis Financial End User Document
Background: Support documents can be attached to data records in many Munis screens. This
is accomplished by using the Tyler Content Management (TCM) camera icon.
Attach supporting documents from saved files:
1. From within a Munis screen (e.g. requisition entry), click the TCM (camera) icon.
• While supporting documents may be referred to as “attachment”, do not click on the
Attachment (paperclip) icon on the Munis ribbon.
• Result: The TCM Document mapping options will be displayed.
2. Click on the correct Document Type in Defined Mapping screen.
• In some cases, only one option will appear in this window.
3. Click “Accept”.
• Result: The Munis TCM attachments screen will be displayed.
4. Click “New”.
5. Click “Import”.
• Result: The computer browse window will be opened to select a document.
• Mac Users: All documents to be attached must be PDF.
• PC Users: Scanned documents must be PDF. PC Users can also attach Microsoft
Word or Excel.
6. Locate and click on the document to be imported.
• Note: This may be located on a desktop or within a folder.
7. Click “Open”.
• Result: A window will open up at the right of the screen with detail information
about the record where the attachment will be saved. Fill in missing or required
information in this area if necessary.
8. Click “Save”.
• For PC users only; The document should populate within the center of the screen.
• For Mac users only; To view the document that has just been imported, click on the
document type listed below “Type” and “Key 1” on the left side of the screen.
• Only PC users can attach a “.doc” or “.xlsx” file. To view these document types from
a PC, click on “Launch in External Viewer”.
9. Click “Close Viewer” when finished, to return to the Munis screen.
10. Click “Yes” if prompted to close this window.

Attach supporting documents from direct scan:
Please note, this option is only available when using a PC and an approved scanner
with appropriate drivers. The scanner must be attached to the computer with the USB
attached.
1. From within a Munis screen (e.g. requisition entry), click the TCM (camera) icon.
• While supporting documents may be referred to as “attachment”, do not click on the
Attachment (paperclip) icon on the Munis ribbon.
• Result: The TCM Document mapping options will be displayed.
2. Click on the correct Document Type in Defined Mapping screen.
• In some cases, only one option will appear in this window.
3. Click “Accept”.
• Result: The Munis TCM attachments screen will be displayed.
4. Load the desired document(s) on the scanner.
5. Click “New”.
6. Click “Scan”.
7. Select “WIA-HP Scanjet 3000 s2” in the Select a Scanner” window.
8. Click “Scan”.
9. Click “Black and White picture or text”.
10. Click “Scan”.
• Result: The documents on the scanner will be scanned and displayed in the center
window.
11. Fill in information missing or required in the area to the right of the document.
• Note: Much of the information is already populated. Fill in anything missing or
required.
12. Click “Save”.
• Result: The document will be saved and removed from the center of the window.
TCM will be available to continue to add documents if needed.
13. Click “Close Viewer” when finished, to return to the Munis screen.
14. Click “Yes” if prompted to close this window.

When scanning and saving a document to be imported to TCM, save it as a “.pdf” (lowercase).
Security and auditing prevent users from deleting attachments. If an attachment needs to be
deleted, send an email to [email protected]. Be sure to include the record information
needed to find and delete the attachment.
