A huge thank you to all the local businesses in the community. With
your continued support the students at Halls Head Community College
Education Support Centre have had the opportunity to experience and demonstrate their employability skills, while exploring their job interests.
Decadent C’s
The students have been enrolled in Endorsed Programs through the School
Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA). All three programs contribute to
the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) Statement of Results.
Workplace Learning (WPL) Mode 2 requires the students to complete a minimum of 110 hours in the workplace and demonstrate a variety of employability
skills that have been identified by employers as being highly desirable. The Preparatory Award Towards Independence modules, Vocational Training and Experience (VTE) and World of Work (WOW) provide an opportunity for students
to experience a work environment in local businesses and learn about and
begin to develop skills in a variety of industries. Most students participated in
Workplace Learning over all four school terms which provided the students with
an opportunity to participate in a supported work environment in the community
and develop skills that are transferable to all forms of employment or further
training.
