Grade 6 Mothers
As this is our last year together for our grade six children, I was
thinking it would be nice for all the mums to get together for

THE ARTS NEED YOUR HELP
Most of the time, we have all the resources we need for our art projects in our storeroom, ready to go
for the term. But sometimes we need a little help with the donation of household items and recycle
materials.
This term, as our GRADE 3 AND 4 STUDENTS are exploring the amazing artwork of Louise
Nevelson, and creating assemblage sculptures, we need your help.
Do you have any small bits and bobs, loose-ends lying around the house? If your house is anything like
my house, you’ll have a hundred odd washers, screws, heads from toy soldiers and so on and so forth,
lying around the place. Well we need those bits and bobs and loose ends. NEEDED – old discarded
small toys, old construction items (nothing sharp. Washers, screws, bolts etc. will be perfect), old
kitchen utensils, or any items like these that we can use for our sculptures would be AWESOME!
For the GRADE 6 GRADUATION ARTWORKS, we are also in desperate need of some old wooden
boxes (like those old fruit boxes or old wooden storage boxes). Grade 6 students will also need to bring
in some items that remind them of their primary school years to use in their art work (small items,
photos etc.) Please note, these items will NOT be returned.
