Pangburn Executive Vice President, DHR International Wendy Pangburn serves as executive vice president in DHR International’s Washington D.C. office and is a member of the Nonprofit Practice Group specializes in international NGO recruiting. Ms. Pangburn brings nearly three decades of professional experience in nonprofit executive recruiting and executive management to DHR. A former nonprofit CEO and an active leader in the nonprofit and international think tank arena, Ms. Pangburn earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) through the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). A former partner with Heidrick & Struggles, Ms. Pangburn ran the Nonprofit/Association Practice in the Washington, DC office and was the lead consultant for many of the firm’s marquee nonprofit CEO search assignments. Ms. Pangburn served as a key advisor at Korn/Ferry International. Ms. Pangburn’s passion for the nonprofit community has become a life-time professional commitment to recruiting top leaders for this international industry. She has personally led CEO and senior management searches for a wide range of nonprofits, including the American Red Cross, Initiative for Global Development, American Farmland Trust, American Diabetes Association, International Federation of Red Cross / Red Crescent Societies, Atlantic Council, Wilson Center for International Scholars, and Refugees International among others. She specializes in searches with high advocacy priorities. Prior to becoming an executive recruiter, Ms. Pangburn served for more than a decade as the executive director of the Chief Executives Organization, Inc. (CEO). The Chief Executives Organization is an international association of more than 2,000 chief executive officers and former leaders of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) whose mission is to improve executive leadership effectiveness through continuing education and idea exchange. Ms. Pangburn has managed numerous annual fundraising and award recognition programs for nonprofit organizations, such as the Smithsonian’s American Art Museum (SAAM) and the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars. She also has Capitol Hill staff experience and has raised funds for many national and statewide campaigns and national party organizations. Ms. Pangburn earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Art from Bucknell University and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Harvard University. She currently serves as the Chair of the International Alumni Board of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Officer is the Vice President of Global Engagement and Chief Development Officer at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars. From 2006-2013, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Rebuilding Together, Inc., the nation’s largest volunteer-based homeownership preservation non-profit, and fourth largest remodeler. During his tenure, Mr. Officer successfully grew Rebuilding Together from an operating budget of $3.5 million to $23 million dollar, and successfully placed over $80 million and leveraged an additional $250 million in public and private capital in support of housing community revitalization projects for our nation’s needy. Officer previously led the Associated Black Charities (ABC), a Baltimore based regional philanthropic organization. . Mr. Officer has served as President of the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF), the national foundation supporting credit union development in the United States. During his three-year tenure at NCUF, Mr. Officer successfully grew a $370 million community investment fund that provided grants, loans and, secondary capital, to credit unions and related organizations throughout the United States. As an affiliate of the Credit Union National Association, National Credit Union Foundation promotes and manages credit union development and consumer savings programs on behalf of CUNA and the US credit union movement. The Foundation also manages the National Development Education Volunteer Program. Prior to joining the National Credit Union Foundation, Mr. Officer worked as a leader in the affordable housing sector in the United States. During that time, he served in the capacity of President and CEO of the Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership, and as Director of Asset Management at Lakefront SRO Corporation in Chicago. Mr. Officer earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hon) Political Science from the Manchester Metropolitan University, England, in 1988 and, a Master of Science MSc (Econ) International Relations from the London School of Economics in 1990.
