Job Profile
Reporting to the Head of HR for APMEA, you will partner closely with her/him to manage the delivery of effective HR,
Recruitment and Payroll Transactional Services for Japan. The immediate critical responsibility is to ensure the setup of
payroll services in Japan to ensure that payroll is not disrupted with the unbundling of the organization into separate legal
entity and takeover of this responsibility from GTS.
As HRBP for Japan, you will operate as a trusted advisor and partner to functional executives and their management
teams functioning as the guide on people and organizational issues. You will be responsible for partnering with business
segment leaders to deploy strategic planning objectives to build a dynamic organization that delivers significant and
sustainable growth. Advise and coach business leaders on matters related to employee engagement, talent management

and development, including competency requirements, workforce planning, leadership selection, executive coaching,
leadership development, performance management, retention, succession planning, compliance program, grievance
handling etc. and ensure that local activities are aligned to the global HR strategy.
You will also play a key strategic role in the facilitation of organizational change in all aspects from planning,
communication and execution.
As a Talent Acquisition Partner APMEA, you will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager APMEA and be in
charge of the end to end recruitment process for the scope of roles assigned to you by Talent Acquisition Manager. You
will be responsible for the recruitment and selection of candidates, including the sourcing and selection process,
screening and pre-qualifying applicants and interviewing. You will identify, source and head hunt candidates through
direct targeting, industry networking methods, job boards and social media sites.
You will ensure good candidate and hiring manager experience by providing prompt feedback and accurate updates. You
will engage on Social Media to increase brand awareness and help attract candidates. You will also participate and
support in the implementation and execution of Talent Acquisition Strategy set out for GTA by both Global and Regional
HR Leadership Teams and Talent Acquisition Managers.
Reporting and key relationships:
Reports to: Head of HR, APMEA, with dotted line reporting to Talent Acquisition Manager, APMEA
Key relationships are with: Global Total Rewards COE, Sales, Sourcing and Operations leaders in Japan for HRBP role
and HRBPs, Senior HR Service Delivery Manager APMEA, Line Managers across all functions and regions for Talent
Acquisition Partner role.
Key activities: (List of day to day duties for the position, indicate % of time spend on the core duties)
Implement the further development and benefits realization of Workday & Payroll system and ensure that business
processes are aligned and optimized.
Working alongside the Total Rewards CoE team and Senior HR Service Delivery Manager, to keep abreast of
payroll legislative updates to ensure our systems and processes are adapted to meet future requirements and that
employees receive timely information and advice relating to payroll and other benefits matters
To ensure, working closely with Senior HR Service Delivery Manager that standard operating procedures,
templates, checklists etc exist for all processes and systems.
To develop, review and implement HR working practices, policies, procedures and processes that reflect best
practice and represent the most efficient and effective means of operation. Including the development of our
practice in relation to international taxation and employment contracts.
Lead on maximising the use of electronic recruitment and administration solutions.
Understand and proactively address the HR needs of the business area, maintaining strategic alignment between
the business and HR.
Advocate for the HR agenda with senior business leaders. Align the business with global HR policies and
programs. Communicate the rationale for current policies and programs and convey changes as they occur.
Address employee complaints / issues of the respective business areas supported and report back to HR and
business leadership on findings.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Develops and maintains a network of professional contacts
Ensures recruiting and hiring practices comply with national and local employment laws
Manages recruiting costs and makes recommendations on the overall department budget
Experience effectively presenting and responding to questions from groups of executives, managers and clients

スキル・資格
Knowledge, skills and experience
Essential knowledge and experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience in HR Generalist roles; and Recruitment
Bachelors or Master’s Degree;
Fluent in Japanese language and proficient in spoken and written English
Very good expertise on excel and related data tools.
Desirable knowledge and experience:
Good working knowledge of HR legislation
Strong customer focus and desire to do the right thing
Experience of working with 3rd parties (vendor management) and virtual teams
Proven track record owning issues through to resolution and embedding solutions.
Strong communication and relationship management skills
Strong planning and organisational skills
Constantly striving for professional development, and proven ability to learn fast;
Flexible and able to cope well with change;
