Saskia Heintz, geboren 1966 in Frankfurt am Main, wuchs in Bremen auf und studierte Theaterwissenschaft,
Neuere deutsche Literatur, Philosophie, Psychologie und Buchwissenschaft in Berlin und München. Nach ihrem
Universitätsabschluss arbeitete sie als Literaturagentin, Journalistin und Lehrbeauftragte für das Fach
Buchwissenschaft an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. 1996 wechselte sie als Pressereferentin und
Lektorin zum Carl Hanser Verlag, wo sie den Kinder- und Jugendbuchverlag mit aufbaute. Seit 2014 ist sie
Verlagsleiterin von Hanser Kinderbuch.
Saskia Heintz, born 1966 in Frankfurt/Main, is a German publisher, translator and editor of books. She grew up
in Bremen, studied dramatics, literature, psychology and philosophy in Berlin and Munich, and graduated from
university in 1994. She worked as a literary agent, journalist and assistant professor in science of books at the
University of Munich. In 1996 she joined Carl Hanser Verlag to establish the children’s book section as an editor
and public relations manager. Since 2014 she is the publishing director of Hanser Children’s and Young Adult
Books.
