Job Description
OBS Legal Department is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic legal counsel with 3 – 5 years’ postqualification experience in a digital media/entertainment environment. Flexible, a team player with a
strong work ethic and the ability to prioritise between competing demands, we can offer the right

OBS provides legal support to Olympic Channel Services SL (for more detail please go to:
https://olympicchannelservices.com/). This role will primarily support Olympic Channel Services SL’s
daily operations.
Duties/Responsibilities
Supporting the operations of a global digital platform and reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel,
you will negotiate and draft a range of agreements for the acquisition of content and the procurement of
technology (bespoke and SAS). You will provide advice to our business team on copyright and other IP
issues, with a particular focus on rights clearance. You will occasionally work on corporate and
compliance matters, such as employment and data protection, and will provide support on an ongoing
basis to in-house production teams.
Qualifications/Experience




3 – 5 years’ PQE specialising in digital media/entertainment, ideally with exposure to in an inhouse environment.
Experience of IP law and an interest in media law essential.
Applicants should have experience of licensing and/or acquiring intellectual property rights.
Strong drafting skills essential, data protection knowledge desirable.

Qualified as a solicitor in a European jurisdiction.
Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
Team player, dynamic, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong technical IP legal skills, concise and clear drafting skills, with an ability to communicate
complex legal concepts effectively.
Flexible with a customer-focused approach to delivering legal services.
Fluent written and spoken English essential (including ability to draft agreements in English).
Other languages advantageous.
Advanced user of Word and Excel.
