Mission
► Produce and organise all the cultural and
educational events with a view to optimising
the Olympic Museum audience.
Each employee is responsible for the smooth running of his
or her section and for keeping his or her competences up to
date in line with the IOC’s training policy.
In addition, each employee may be asked to take on
responsibilities other than those required by the job if
particular circumstances so require.
Main responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Visitor Experience & Events Senior Manager:

Takes part in the scheduling of cultural and educational events:

Analyses and plans events:
-

Takes part in the brainstorming and preparatory work for cultural and educational events aimed at
the general public and young visitors, in line with the objectives set, with a view to establishing the
programme.
Proposes activities having studied their feasibility beforehand, analyses their relevance and
identifies the key success factors.
Anticipates any related digital deliverables and includes these in the management of the project.
Plans activities taking into account the deadlines and budget allocated, and evaluates the logistical
and human resources needed.
Suggests internal and external partners, and provides all the details needed by the Logistics and
Administration Section to establish the contracts.
Keeps the database up to date in line with the new contacts involved in each project.
Regularly reports on the progress of projects and provides all the information needed for decisionmaking.
Works closely with the other units and sections of the Department depending on the type of events
involved (Operations, Corporate, Promotion, Communications, etc.).
Coordinates and follows up with all the partners and subcontractors involved.
Ensures the holding and follow-up of events

Creates the project file for each event and keeps this up to date.
Produces a detailed timetable for activities and establishes a scenario.
Coordinates the execution of actions with the various stakeholders (internal and external).
Organises the coordination meetings before the launch of events and briefs/informs all the parties
involved.
Shares the information linked to events in a structured way to ensure optimum communication of the
activities organised.
Welcomes the external parties involved.
Supervises and ensures the smooth running of activities on site.
Closes the event project by drawing up a list of the various activities organised (documenting the
experience gained).
Works under the supervision of the Visitor Experience & Events Senior Manager, and as a
team, in collaboration with the Visitor Experience Project Manager, the Education Coordinator and
the visitor experience staff of the Visitor Experience & Events Section, and with the Events
Coordinator in the Logistics and Administration Section.
Training and language and IT skills
-
Qualified Cultural Engineer – Conception and implementation of cultural projects.
Experience in organising multidisciplinary events and designing innovative cultural projects.
Very broad general knowledge and interest in sport.
Excellent command of French and English, good knowledge of German an asset.
Good knowledge of office software (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Excellent command of the corporate tools and ability to follow the internal user rules (LiveLink,
Outlook, etc.).
