The Lufthansa Group Head of Indirect Distribution Solutions is based in Zurich Recruiting Support:
and reports to the Lufthansa Group Head of Distribution. He or she is

responsible for the management of Lufthansa Group’s (LHG) relationship with
the Global Distribution Systems (GDSs). LHG delegates, for a significant part
of its sales, the distribution of content and the linkage of purchase points to
these GDSs. This person holds the commercial and contractual ownership of
GDS providers, is responsible for budgeting and cost management for LHG’s
GDS cost budget and also for SLA follow-ups. Further he or she leads a team
of experts spread across several Lufthansa Group locations and assures the
development and retention of functional know-how regarding GDS
functionalities within the department.
Your Duties

Development of the Target Concept for LHG’s collaboration with GDSs:
commercial model, technical architecture, target customer segments
Conceptualization and development of the LHG Negotiation Strategy for
GDS contracts renewals
Definition and implementation of GDS cost saving programs
Assure successful implementation of defined negotiation strategy by expert
team
Development and retention of field expertise within the LHG
Monitoring and enforcement of contractual agreements (invoices, SLAs)
Implementation of all business activities under the area of responsibility
applying the relevant policies
Planning, monitoring and reporting of the budget for the area of
responsibility
Leadership, motivation and development of the team members
Adequate organizational and process design in the line organization
Requirements

Significant experience managing providers of business-critical functions
(more than 3 years)
Professional negotiation skills and experience
Demonstrated experience (more than 3 years) developing strategic
commercial models
Positive track record managing very large cost centres
Knowledge of the travel distribution industry
