ドイツボン大学の「開発研究センター（ZEF）1」は、開発問題にかかわる分野横断的研
究で世界をリードしている研究所であり、シンクタンクとしても世界のトップクラスに
数えられています 2。農学生命科学研究科の国際農業開発学コース（IPADS）は 2014 年
から同センターと提携を開始して共同講義を実施しており、本年 2 月には全学協定を結
んでいます。
このたび、同センターが実施している分野横断型コース 3（10/5～12/2）の募集の案内が
ありました。ZEF の博士課程プログラムに世界各国から入学してくる学生のための必修
コースで、ZEF を構成する３つの部局（政治と文化変容、経済と技術革新、生態学と自
然資源管理）の著名な教授陣が、1 ヶ月間にわたって講義・実習を行い、そののち分野と
国籍の異なる 3 名のグループでプロジェクトペーパー作成の実習をおこないます。また
12/9-11 にはセミナー合宿が行われます。関心のある方は是非ご応募ください。
対象者は農学生命科学研究科の原則として博士課程の大学院生です。受講料は大学間協
定により無料です。宿泊先としては学生寮（月額約 300 ユーロ）が利用できます。渡航
経費については「大学院学生海外研修・国際会議発表補助費」へ積極的な応募をお勧め
します。日本人学生には、日本学生支援機構（JASSO）からの支援が適用される場合も
あります。
希望者は指導教員の許可を得たうえで、下記まで IPADS Office へお申し込みください。
応募者上限５名。目安として TOEFL (iBT) 80 点程度以上の英語力が必要です。英語テ
ストのスコアをお持ちの方はそれを添付してご応募ください。また応募者には簡単な
会話のテストを行います。応募者多数の場合は面接を行い、英語力および志望理由に
よって決めさせていただきます。

Opportunity to study in the interdisciplinary course offered by the Center for Development
Research (ZEF) at the University of Bonn, Germany
Center for Development Research (ZEF) is an international university-affiliated institute
conducting interdisciplinary research on development-related issues all over the world. Last year,
ZEF was ranked as one of the excellent international think tanks according to the Global Think
Index Report 2015. International Program in Agricultural Development Studies (IPADS) at the
Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences started the academic collaboration with ZEF
and had several joint lectures last year. The university-wide international academic exchange
agreement was established in February this year.
We have received an invitation to the Interdisciplinary Course conducted from October 5 to
December 2 offered by ZEF. It is the course for the students of the PhD Program of ZEF. Eminent
professors from three departments of ZEF (Political and cultural change, Economic and
technological change, Ecology and natural resources management) give lectures for one month,
and then the students will work for the interdisciplinary term papers in groups of three students
from different disciplines and nationalities. There will be held International Weekend on 9-11
December.
The applicants should be the PhD student or equivalent of the Graduate School of Agricultural and
Life Sciences. The participation fee is exempted according to the universities’ academic
exchange agreement. The university dormitory will be available at the rate of ca. 300 Euro per
month. The students can apply to the Grants for Overseas Training and Presentation in Int’l
Conferences for the trip fee. For Japanese students, JASSO grant maybe applied depending on
the conditions.
Those who are interested in participating this course should contact IPADS office (see below) after
obtaining the agreement of the supervisor. The English ability equivalent to around TOEFL iBT
80 is the minimum requirement for being fully involved in the program. If you have English test
score, you can apply with the score. Simple English test will be conducted for the applicants.
When the number of the applicants exceeds the available seats, an interview will be conducted
ant the students will be selected based on their English ability and motivation.
