First, what do these different forms mean? なにか: something ないも: nothing だれか：someone だれも: nobody どこか: somewhere どこも: nowhere どこかに／どこにも What do the particles に and へ indicate? Direction, movement. OR location (テーブルにある） For どこ: どこかに行きますか？ どこかに行きます。 Similar to どこか, when adding に,you are specifying a direction どこにもいきません。 Now, with the も、 it means nothing. So, I (will) go nowhere. だれかに/だれにも だれかにあげましたか？ Did you give it to somebody? だれかにあげました。 I gave it to somebody. だれにもあげませんでした。 I gave it to nobody. **note も goes with a negative verb like chapter 8 なに も ありません What about で どこかでたべませんか？ どこかでたべましょうか？ Shall we eat somewhere? どこかでたべましょう。 Let’s eat somewhere. あなたと、どこでもたべせん。 I will never eat with you anywhere だれでか だれでか … a bit weird. たれでも anybody だれでもいいですから、はやくしてはいけません。 Anybody is fine, but it must be done quickly. どこかに/どこでも: p 244 A Let’s try comparing Mary and Takeshi For Takeshi: 2.
