《 LARA - ARAL 》 1989 - 1994 CONCHA 《 CONCHA 》 展示プ ラ ンイメージ 《 RADIO - PULS 》 2003 Johannes Lenhart ヨハネス ・レンハルト 京 都 芸 術 センター アーティスト・イン・レジデンスプログラム 2007 こ の た び 京 都 芸 術 セ ン タ ー で は 、 ド イ ツ 、 デ ュ ッ セ ル ド ル フ を 拠 点 に 活 動 す る ア ー テ ィ ス ト 、 ヨ ハ ネ ス ・ レ ン ハ ル ト に よ る 個 展 を 開 催 し ま す 。 ２ 月中 旬 よ り 、 京 都 芸 術 セ ン タ ー に て 滞 在 制 作 を お こ な う ヨ ハ ネ ス は 、 ボ ー ル 紙 を 素 材 と し た 巨 大 な 立 体 作 品 “ C O N C H A －貝 殻 ” を ギ ャ ラ リ ー 空 間 に 出 現 さ せます。 あわせて、 彼の立体作品のもとともなる、 頭の中のイメージをかたちにしたエッチング、 写真、 ドローイング作品などを紹介し、 作品が創造されるまでのプロセスを解き明かしていきます。 K yo t o Arts Center is pleased to present CONCHA, a new work by Johannes Lenhart, the current residency artist a t K A C . J o h a n n e s L en h a r t i s a sculpture artist based in Düsseldorf, Germany. During his stay in Kyoto, he will be creating “CONCHA” , a huge stereoscopic cardboard sculpture. It integrates the entire gallery space. “CONCHA” invites the audience to make discoveries. Lenhart says, “ I see my art objects not only as isolated p r o d u c ts but in mutual relationship and as tools to explore the unknown.” A l o n g with his large and unique work, to understand the concept and process of his creation, the exhibition will al s o p r e s en t o th e r wo r k s ( s k e t c hes, etchings, photographs and drawings). Studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. He has exhibited his works in various places such as the Lenbachhaus Museum in Munich, Düsseldorf Art Museum, PS One in New York, and the Museum of Modern Art in Bolzano, Italy. In Japan, he participated at the Osaka Sculpture Triennale in 1995, and, in 2003, was an Artist - In - Residence at Aomori Contemporary Art Centre. His residency at KAC is from the middle of February to April 2008.
