The Bible teaches that tithing is a part of worship and it’s a responsibility of each believer
(Malachi 3:10). It also says, “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to
give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver (II Cor. 9:6-7).”
We don’t pass around the offering basket since we don’t want anyone who is not able to
give for some reason to feel pressure or awkward (especially for visitors). We also would
like everyone to do it spontaneously. Please put the offerings in the box on the counter.

The Words for yourchurch 2015 (John 14:6-14)
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as
well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." Philip said, "Lord, show
us the Father and that will be enough for us." Jesus answered: "Don't you know
me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has
seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, `Show us the Father'? (6-9)
Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I
say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing
his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or
at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. (10, 11)
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He
will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will
do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the
Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. (12-14)

憎しみの連鎖を断ち切るイエスの⾔葉
永原アンディユアチャーチ 2015年の聖書の⾔葉（ヨハネによる福⾳書14:6-14）
イエスは言われた。「わたしは道であり、真理であり、命である。わたしを通らなけ
れば、だれも父のもとに行くことができない。あなたがたがわたしを知っているな
ら、わたしの父をも知ることになる。今から、あなたがたは父を知る。いや、既に父
を見ている。」フィリポが「主よ、わたしたちに御父をお示しください。そうすれば満
足できます」と言うと、イエスは言われた。「フィリポ、こんなに長い間一緒にいるの
に、わたしが分かっていないのか。わたしを見た者は、父を見たのだ。なぜ、『わ
たしたちに御父をお示しください』と言うのか。(6-9)
わたしが父の内におり、父がわたしの内におられることを、信じないのか。わたし
があなたがたに言う言葉は、自分から話しているのではない。わたしの内におられ
る父が、その業を行っておられるのである。わたしが父の内におり、父がわたしの
内におられると、わたしが言うのを信じなさい。もしそれを信じないなら、業そのも
のによって信じなさい。(10, 11)
はっきり言っておく。わたしを信じる者は、わたしが行う業を行い、また、もっと大き
な業を行うようになる。わたしが父のもとへ行くからである。わたしの名によって願う
ことは、何でもかなえてあげよう。こうして、父は子によって栄光をお受けになる。
わたしの名によって何かを願うならば、わたしがかなえてあげよう。」(12-14)

How Jesus' Words Break the Cycle of Hatred
For Discussion 1) How can we break the cycle of hatred?
2) What are specific ways in which we can love others?
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not
let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)
1. Hatred becomes a cycle (Habakkuk 1:3)
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. (Matthew 5:9)
Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrong? Destruction and
violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds. (Habakkuk 1:3)
2. The origin of hatred and the beginning of the cycle (Genesis 4, Habakkuk 1:6-11, 2:9-13)
3. Our hope: Love, not hate, is the only way to win against hatred
(1 Thessalonians 5:15)
Adam lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said,
"With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man." Later she gave birth to his brother
Abel. Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought
some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. But Abel brought fat portions from
some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but
on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face
was downcast. Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face
downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is
right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it." Now
Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field,
Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. (Genesis 4:1-8)
They all come bent on violence. Their hordes advance like a desert wind and gather
prisoners like sand. 10 They deride kings and scoff at rulers. They laugh at all fortified
cities; they build earthen ramps and capture them. 11 Then they sweep past like the wind and
go on-- guilty men, whose own strength is their god.” (Habakkuk 1:9-11)
4. Our desire: To follow Jesus and break the cycle of hatred (Luke 6:27-31)
"Woe to him who builds his realm by unjust gain to set his nest on high, to escape the
clutches of ruin! You have plotted the ruin of many peoples, shaming your own house and
forfeiting your life. The stones of the wall will cry out, and the beams of the woodwork will
echo it. "Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed and establishes a town by crime! Has
not the LORD Almighty determined that the people's labor is only fuel for the fire, that the
nations exhaust themselves for nothing? (Habakkuk 2:9-13)
5. Our stance: How can we show love? (Luke 6:35, 36)
Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other
and to everyone else. (1 Thessalonians 5:15)
Summary
"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those
who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn
to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic.
Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it
back. Do to others as you would have them do to you. - - - - - But love your enemies, do
good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward
will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and
wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. (Luke 6:27-31, 35, 36)
Hatred has been a cycle in human relationships since the beginning of history. Until Jesus
came, no one knew how to break this vicious cycle. Even though Jesus has taught us how to
reject hatred, it seems that many people refuse to accept his teaching. Followers of Jesus are
called to the challenging task of bringing peace into a world filled with hate.
As you go, preach this message: `The kingdom of heaven is near.' Heal the sick, raise the
dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely
give. (Matthew 10:7,8)

１）どうしたら憎しみの連鎖を断ち切ることが出来るでしょうか？
２）実際にどのように愛することができるのでしょうか？？
1) 憎しみは連鎖するハバクク1:3
わたしは、平和をあなたがたに残し、わたしの平和を与える。わたしはこれを、世が与えるよ
うに与えるのではない。心を騒がせるな。おびえるな。(ヨハネ14:27)
平和を実現する人々は、幸いである、その人たちは神の子と呼ばれる。(マタイ5:9)
どうして、あなたはわたしに災いを見させ労苦に目を留めさせられるのか。暴虐と不法がわ
たしの前にあり争いが起こり、いさかいが持ち上がっている。(ハバクク書1:3)
2) 憎しみの起源、連鎖のはじまり (創世記４, ハバクク1:6-11, 2:9-13)
3) 私たちの希望 - 憎しみに勝てるのは憎しみではなく愛 (１テサ 5:15)
4) 私たちの意志 - イエスに従うとは、この連鎖に連ならず、むしろ断ち切
ること (ルカ6:27-31) さて、アダムは妻エバを知った。彼女は身ごもってカインを産み、「わたしは主によって男子
を得た」と言った。彼女はまたその弟アベルを産んだ。アベルは羊を飼う者となり、カインは
土を耕す者となった。時を経て、カインは土の実りを主のもとに献げ物として持って来た。ア
ベルは羊の群れの中から肥えた初子を持って来た。主はアベルとその献げ物に目を留め
られたが、カインとその献げ物には目を留められなかった。カインは激しく怒って顔を伏せ
た。主はカインに言われた。「どうして怒るのか。どうして顔を伏せるのか。もしお前が正しい
のなら、顔を上げられるはずではないか。正しくないなら、罪は戸口で待ち伏せており、お
前を求める。お前はそれを支配せねばならない。」カインが弟アベルに言葉をかけ、二人
が野原に着いたとき、カインは弟アベルを襲って殺した。(創世記 4:1-8)
9 彼らは来て、皆、暴虐を行う。どの顔も前方に向き砂を集めるようにとりこを集める。10 彼
らは王たちを嘲り支配者たちを嘲笑う。どんな砦をも嘲笑って土を積み上げ、それを攻め取
る。11 彼らは風のように来て、過ぎ去る。しかし、彼らは罪に定められる。自分の力を神とし
たからだ。 (ハバクク1:9-11)
災いだ、自分の家に災いを招くまで不当な利益をむさぼり災いの手から逃れるために高い
所に巣を構える者よ。お前は、自分の家に対して恥ずべきことを謀り多くの民の滅びを招
き、自分をも傷つけた。まことに石は石垣から叫び梁は建物からそれに答えている。災い
だ、流血によって都を築き不正によって町を建てる者よ。見よ、これは万軍の主から出たこ
とではないか。諸国の民は力を費やしても火で焼かれるのみ。諸民族はむなしい業のため
に疲れ果てる　(ハバクク書2:9-13)
だれも、悪をもって悪に報いることのないように気をつけなさい。お互いの間でも、すべての
人に対しても、いつも善を行うよう努めなさい。　(Iテサロニケ５：15)
5) 私たちの姿勢/行動 - どう愛したら良いのか？ (ルカ6:35,36)
メッセージのポイント
憎しみの連鎖は人間の歴史の初めからありました。しかし、イエスが世界に来られ
るまで、憎しみの連鎖を断ち切る方法は誰も知りませんでした。イエスはその方法
を示されましたが、今のところ多くの人々はそれを受け入れてはいません。だから
こそイエスに従う人々の役割は大きいのです。私たちはイエスに従う者として,憎し
みの温床を平和の苗床に変えることが出来るのです。
「しかし、わたしの言葉を聞いているあなたがたに言っておく。敵を愛し、あなたがたを憎む
者に親切にしなさい。悪口を言う者に祝福を祈り、あなたがたを侮辱する者のために祈りな
さい。あなたの頬を打つ者には、もう一方の頬をも向けなさい。上着を奪い取る者には、下
着をも拒んではならない。求める者には、だれにでも与えなさい。あなたの持ち物を奪う者
から取り返そうとしてはならない。人にしてもらいたいと思うことを、人にもしなさい。 (ルカ
6:27-31)
しかし、あなたがたは敵を愛しなさい。人に善いことをし、何も当てにしないで貸しなさい。
そうすれば、たくさんの報いがあり、いと高き方の子となる。いと高き方は、恩を知らない者
にも悪人にも、情け深いからである。あなたがたの父が憐れみ深いように、あなたがたも憐
れみ深い者となりなさい。」 (ルカ6:35,36)
行って、『天の国は近づいた』と宣べ伝えなさい。病人をいやし、死者を生き返らせ、重い
皮膚病を患っている人を清くし、悪霊を追い払いなさい。ただで受けたのだから、ただで与
えなさい。 (マタイ 10:7,8)
