ELF is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child
who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is
transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is
actually human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toymaking abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s
permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York
City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and
help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

ELF es la desternillante historia de Buddy, un pequeño huérfano que se mete por
error en el saco de regalos de Papá Noel y acaba viajando con él de vuelta al Polo
Norte. Al principio, Papá Noel no se da cuenta de que Buddy es humano, pero su
enorme talla y su incapacidad para fabricar juguetes hacen que acabe asumiendo la

Buddy, einem jungen Waisenkind, das

Henry VIII exhibition at
Hampton Court
The Royal Academy’s annual Summer Exhibition is
the world’s largest open submission contemporary art
show.
Visit this fascinating permanent exhibition exploring

characters and stories of Henry VIII, Cardinal Wolsey
and Katherine of Aragon for centuries.
Now in its 247th year, this exhibition continues the

London – The Making of Harry Potter will unveil a
20,000ft2 expansion, including the original Hogwarts
Express steam engine and a recreation of Platform

Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea was invented by Anna, the
seventh Duchess of Bedford (1783-1857), one
of Queen Victoria’s ladies-in-waiting. In her
day, the upper crust ate a huge breakfast, little
lunch, and a very late dinner. Every afternoon,
the duchess experienced a “sinking feeling.”
One afternoon she instructed her servants
to serve tea and little cakes in her boudoir.
The experience was so delightful that Anna
repeated it every afternoon thereafter. Soon
others followed the Duchess’ lead, and in just
a few decades the custom of “taking tea” in
the afternoon had become well established.
At first the practice was limited to the upper
classes, but it eventually became so popular
that tea shops and tea-rooms began opening
for the enjoyment of the general public.
Cream tea is considered the regional dish of
Devon where the famous clotted cream used
in Cream tea originates from. It was most
commonly served in the afternoon (around
4pm) after a hard day’s work in the field (or
a leisurely stroll around your castle!). Cream
Tea consists of clotted West Country cream,
scones, strawberry jam and of course tea and
is a quintessentially English tradition.
