Feat. Little Feat was a big inspiration for DeWolff’s latest studio album
ROUX-GA-ROUX. Recorded at DeWolff’s very own all-analog Electrosaurus
Southern Sound Studio, the band explores the boundaries of their musical
abilities and of analog recording techniques.
For side B the band wolvarized the beautiful, dark Townes Van Zandt song
WAITIN’ AROUND TO DIE. No one with a soul can remain untouched while
listening to Townes Van Zandt’s music. His songs, that have become
standards in American roots music, are eerily beautiful, dark and real.
Townes’ soul is still present in this version of Waitin’ Around to Die, but it is
now accompanied by a groove so thick you can cut it with a knife. Brazilian
illustrator Pedro Felipe designed the artwork for this 7” as well as the front

“’A good song takes you far,’ sang Jackson Browne in den 70ern. It’s true,
and very strange-- how these little three-minute compositions crafted on a
whim in a bedroom end up bringing us out on planes and highways, into
bars and ballrooms and radio stations, pouring out our hearts and lungs for
those who themselves were pulled out of their rooms and into the world by
the power of song. Browne understood this: he himself was covering Danny
O’Keefe’s perfect ode to the bizarre bittersweet life of a traveling musician,
and when I listen to it crammed in a van full of instruments speeding across
rainy Germany, it hits hard.
I have always played other people’s songs, alone and with friends, at home
and on the road. I know our audiences’ main interest is in our original
songs, and for that I’m honored. But I can’t seem to stop playing covers.
Every time we are preparing to go on tour I can’t help assembling the BoyFriends and demanding that we learn a new cover song to play live. I listen
to so much great music and just ache to be able to inhabit it more fully. I
want to be Beck or Melanie or Jackie Wilson. So this record is me playing
dress-up, with the help of my incredible band. (Don’t miss that point-- the

come before it. After the unlikely alliance between the Los Angeles label

those which have a special place in Nicks heart. Disc 3 brings together 'The
Last Guitar', 'Riven' and 'Nix' albums. All three radically different but still
very 'Harperesque'. Son of the legendary UK singer-songwriter Roy Harper,
Nick was born in London and raised in Wiltshire. Having played the guitar
from the age of 10 and surrounded by the likes of Keith Moon, Jimmy Page,
Robert Plant and Dave Gilmour as he grew up, it was no surprise when Nick
made his recording debut on his father's Whatever Happened To Jugula? in
1985.

First released in 1976, ‘Metallic K.O.’ was the fourth album from Iggy & the
Stooges, a classic, memorable recording of the Stooges confrontational last
gig. The Stooges had not been heard since ’73’s ‘Raw Power’, and the
sound of kamikaze Iggy in between new songs dodging eggs and glasses
thrown by Hell’s Angels gave him a new audience in the embryonic punk
crowd. It defined Iggy as a punk originator, sold 100k+ and become the

"PayJay Productions, Inc. was the company James Dewitt “J Dilla” Yancey
founded in 2001 to house his
production company and his publishing company.
The Estate of James Yancey has revived PayJay as a functioning imprint, and
announced the release of
J Dilla’s long lost vocal album, The Diary. The tracks come straight from
multi-track masters found on
2-inch tape shortly after Dilla’s passing in 2006. Many were mixed by Dilla
himself. Those that weren't
have been mixed by engineer Dave Cooley, who worked extensively with
Dilla during his years in Los
Angeles. Using Dilla’s original demo mixes as his guide, Cooley attempted to
finalize Dilla’s vision for
these tracks, while keeping all of the elements that Dilla had in place in his
original demos present.
The Diary is an album of vocal performances recorded between in the early
2000s over production by
the likes of Madlib, Pete Rock, Nottz, House Shoes, Karriem Riggins and

In February of 2001, a young up and coming producer by the name of J
Rawls released his first album titled “The Essence of….” The seminal album
from the producer who would go on to produce for the likes of Mos Def,
Talib Kweli, Beastie Boys, Us3 and many more featured a myriad of guests
from the burgeoning underground hip hop scene. The album would go on
to become a favorite among beat enthusiasts and lyric heads alike.
In accordance with RECORD STORE DAY (April 16, 2106), Rawls is set to rerelease this classic on vinyl only with brand new added previously
unreleased BONUS songs recorded around the same as the songs from the
album. The bonus songs include never before heard material from Talib
Kweli, Makeba Mooncycle, Doseone, Rubix, Wordsworth and more. The

"For the ten years leading up to 1972, the James Brown Revue was an
outright superfunk freight train, speeding around the world and crushing all
competition. This
dominance stretched beyond the charts, too – the group was even more
dynamic and exciting on stage, a fact that kept them sleepless and on the
move, as audiences
demanded more.
From 1963 to 1971, James Brown had released not one but three albums
recorded live at Harlem’s famed Apollo Theater. The first volume of the
series is still rightfully
revered today as one of the greatest live albums of all time. But Volumes II
(1968) and III (1971 – aka Revolution Of The Mind) were no slackers either,
showing James and
his incredible band (with talent including “Pee Wee” Ellis, Fred Wesley, John
“Jabo” Starks, Clyde Stubblefield, Maceo Parker, Lyn Collins, Bobby Byrd
and many more)
at the peak of their respective powers each time, playing a litany of JB hits.
Because of this, it will always be a mystery as to why Volume IV, which was
recorded at the Apollo on September 14, 1972, was shelved. This is in no
small part because
the performers and songs heard here are some of the Godfather of Soul’s
(and the JBs’) strongest. But shelved it was, full of fire but languishing for
decades in the Polydor
vaults.
Thankfully we can now put that all behind us, with the first-time-ever-onvinyl release of this incredible concert, from more than four decades ago.

One year earlier, the Heartbreakers arrived in London to join the Sex Pistols
on the ‘Anarchy’ tour. They spent most of 1977 there, recording ‘L.A.M.F.’
and cementing their status as elder statesmen of the punk movement. This
last date of their European tour was to be their very last as a band – until
the reunions of course. Drummer Jerry Nolan had already jumped ship; his
substitute is The Clash’s Terry Chimes. The gig was filmed for a movie that
was never to be – this is the soundtrack recording.

Die Musikbranche ist immer wieder für Überraschungen gut. Aber dass die
Namen Daft Punk und Junior Kimbrough auf einem Tonträger gemeinsam
erscheinen, war lange Zeit eher unwahrscheinlich. Doch dann wurden Daft
Punk für die Yes Saint Laurent Fashion-Show 2013 gebeten ihre
Lieblingsmusik als Soundtack beizusteuern. Und sie wählten unter anderem
das Stück „I Gotta Try You Girl" aus Kimbroughs Album „God Knows I Tried“
(39131952). Um dieses Stück für das Programm perfekt einzubinden,
erstellten sie einen speziellen Mix, den sie als „Music by Junior Kimbrough
Edited by Daft Punk“ vorstellten. Erstmals auf Vinyl, exklusiv für den Record
Store Day. 160 g – die Rückseite wird von einem „Etching“ verziert. David
"Junior" Kimbrough (1930-1998) war ein amerikanischer Blues-Musiker aus
dem Mississippi-Delta. Obwohl er seit den späten 50er Jahren als BluesMusiker regelmäßig auftrat und nach und nach seinen eigenen Stil
entwickelte, dauerte es bis 1992 bis sein Debüt-Album „All Night Long“
veröffentlicht werden sollte.
Von Fat Possum entdeckt und fortan gefördert folgte 1994 ein zweites

visceral power of one of the most iconic bands in rock and roll first
emerged in Aberdeen WA in the mid-1980s. In amongst the now revered
and widely recognised band scene in Seattle during this period, were Kurt
Cobain, Krist Novoselik and Aaron Burckhard jointly known as Skid Row.
Close friends of The Melvins, they were about to embark on a journey that
would take Cobain and Novoselik to world stardom two years later.
Their session for KAOS FM at Evergreen State College in 1987 was also their
first demo tape and as such, Nirvana’s first ever recording session. How
pivotal these recordings are in terms of rock history is not really open to
question, it’s evidently obvious, but it’s also a priceless opportunity to
witness a time and place in rock and roll that can never be repeated.
Interference very proudly presents the entire original KAOS-FM broadcast
of Skid Row (Nirvana) live in session from Evergreen State College, Olympia
WA on 17th April 1987. Professionally re-mastered original FM broadcast

This is a treasure of a recording as it is not only a live recording of a rare
morning concert but it was also an “at home” performance Ravi did for
some special friends at his residence on Highland Avenue in Hollywood,
California in 1971. It was during this gathering that he spoke about his
distress over the plight of the people of East Pakistan (later known as
Bangla Desh) in the aftermath of Cyclone Bhola. Being Bengali himself, he
talked about wanting to do something to alleviate the suffering. George
Harrison, in attendance that day, listened and from those conversations the
seed was sown for what would later become the Concert for Bangladesh.

led to the band being snapped up to the major label Polydor for their

performing many sessions for his radio show
FIVE BONUS TRACKS: The original vinyl release of Manic Pop Thrill featured
12 tracks, whilst the CD benefitted from 3 bonus tracks from day one.

Cramps quickly became one of America’s finest subculture manifestations,
bred from the madness of 50s and 60s b-movie trash at the turn of punk,
Lux Interior and his motley crew of proto-gothic punks shred the walls of
Keystone’s Palo Alto with a toxic stew of sexed up rock ‘n’ roll. They were
an exotic cabaret of b-movie histrionics and debonair, pursuing lurid and
sexual gratification. Lux Interior personified, and externalized what lurked
behind the snarl of every rockabilly hero and even in death, wears it well. In
Elvis’ strut, in James Dean’s wince, somewhere in the back of Little
Richard’s throat was the Cramps… drooling all over your face and walking
away with your soul.
Interference proudly presents the entire KFAT–FM broadcast of this
legendary early performance by The Cramps live at Keystone’s Palo Alto

Dictators spat the lyrical disrespect and echoed the smart lipstick wit that
David Johansen and the NY Dolls had employed on their home turf. On the
surface, here was a similar bunch of sloppy goofballs intent on nothing
much apart from avoiding the mundane drivel of the daily grind and poking
fun. From 1973 onwards, the band were a swaggering bunch of misfits
who’d absorbed the American dream and all the trash that goes with it,
throwing it all back up in your face. They were the Dolls, the MC5 and The
Stooges, they were anything you wanted them to be, but most importantly,
they were a punk band’s punk band, and they were The Dictators!
Interference dishonourably presents the loud, lewd and unabashed sound
of New York punk rockers The Dictators, live from Rochester NY on 7th June
1977. Recorded in WCMF-FM studios and broadcast live, this is a raw
knockout performance from the early NY punk scene. Presented with a
professionally re-mastered original FM broadcast, background liners and

Greg Foat’s music evokes a spirit of time and place. The 1960s (and early

protagonists of the day; Mike Westbrook, Ian Carr, Michael Garrick, Gordon
Beck to name but a few. Foat rightly reveres
this music and it’s echoed in his own compositions. Not a copyist by any
means, his works are vibrant and alive with the zeitgeist of the 21st
Century. But there’s undoubtedly recognition of a musical heritage that
cannot and should not be forgotten. It changed the face of jazz forever and
has since heralded the way for even more radical departures.
Greg Foat’s music is redolent of a special era when jazz was approachable
and possessed a rhythmic imperative. There was also another kind of
irresistible jazz, that bordered on the pop and rock music of the time
propagated by the likes of Roy (Get Carter) Budd, Harry (The Sweeney)
South, Brian Auger’s Trinity and Soft Machine. But the origins of this soulful,
funky and electrifying jazz also hark back to those 1960s innovators in soul
jazz; Herbie Hancock, Horace Silver, Lou Donaldson and others.
The Greg Foat Group has been releasing albums for several years now, all
spectacular affairs, from ‘Dark Is the Sun’ (2011) to ‘The Dancers At The
Edge Of Time’ (2015) and all on the enlightened Jazzman label. So this latest
twin release of two ten inchers, Cityscapes and Landscapes offers a rare
treat because for the first time, the listener is given a fascinating insight
into the development of the Greg Foat Group. The recordings presented on
these two EPs represent a journey from urban to rural environments in
musical form. Foat actually wrote these around 2002 at the age of 23 when
he was living in Stockholm, Sweden. But crucially, they sound like they were

(4x10 inch Boxset) Exclusively for Record Store Day, each of the 12 singles
released in 1992 with its accompanying B side packaged in an newly
designed Limited Edition 10inch boxed set of 750 copies. Remastered and
pressed across four 10inch discs, each contained in its own archive styled
inner bag and sleeve. The whole project has been under the careful eye of
David Gedge himself and with brand new sleeve notes by long time Weddos
fan Nick Frost this is fitting package for such a historic collection of singles.
Back the hey days of the explosion of the British indie rock scene, David
Gedges Wedding Present were amongst the pioneers. Fast paced and
obviously influenced by The Fall, Buzzcocks and Gang Of Four the much
heralded 1987 debut George Best was released on their own Reception
label. After the early singles and radio sessions were compiled and released
as Tommy and the follow up Ukrainian album, the band signed to RCA and
released their major labels debut album Bizarro and Seamonsters. Then
instead of 'that difficult third album' they took the unusual step in 1992 of
releasing one limited edition single a month. This had never been done
before by any band, only the legendary Elvis Presley, so it was a brave step.
But this was the Wedding Present and under Gedges leadership the plan
was a great success. The A side for each single would be an original
composition and the B side a cover version.

großen David Lynch Ausstellung “Between Two Worlds” beizusteuern. Die
