Graduate and Undergraduate Student Preparation Program Japanese Language, Society and Culture Program In this course, students who wish to attend OIU or another national or private university or graduate school in Japan are offered and career guidance In particular, measures for the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students or the Japanese Language Proficiency Test are also offered, and students can study the subjects necessary for university or graduate school admission. * When entrance to this course is from the fall semester, there is the possibility of admission to OIU after approximately a half-year of enrollment.（1 semester） This program primarily accepts exchange students from the various colleges and universities throughout the world with which we have exchange agreements as well as selffinanced students who wish to improve their Japanese proficiency and academic knowledge about Japan. University admission from this course is also possible. 4 コース概要 1 修 業 年 限 留学生別科で学習できるのは1年間で、それを超えること 7 修了証書・成績及び単位取得証明書の授与 修了に必要な単位数を取得した者には、修了式において、 はできません。 修了証書 並びに 成績及び単位取得証明書 が授与さ れます。取得単位数が修了に必要な32単位に満たない者 2 授 業 期 間 1年を春学期と秋学期の2セメスターにわけています。 ●春学期（前期）：4月上旬∼8月上旬 ●秋学期（後期）：9月中旬∼2月上旬 や、GPAが2.0未達の者は、 成績及び単位取得証明書 のみが授与されます。 8 国民健康保険・海外旅行傷害保険加入 秋学期からの入学も可能（最大1年間のみ）ですが、 別科生は国民健康保険ならびに海外旅行傷害保険に入ら それぞれのコースで出願条件があります。 なければなりません。 詳細はお問い合わせください。 3 授 業 時 間 大阪国際大学への学内選考制度 大阪国際大学留学生別科に在籍していて、本学の学部への 大阪国際大学留学生別科の授業は月曜日から金曜日まであ 進学を希望している学生には、一般の留学生試験とは別に、 ります。 内部進学者用の学内選考制度を設けています。 4 休日および休暇 10 奨学金について ●土曜日と日曜日 ●日本の祝祭日（授業がある時があります） 2014年度は文部科学省による学習奨励費が2名に、月額 ●OIUの創立記念日（1月18日） ●夏季・冬季休暇 48,000 円（1学期）支給されました。学習奨励被受給者 ★各休暇の期間は、毎年の学年暦により多少異なります。 の推薦は、4月当初に行うプレースメントテストの結果など により決定します。 5 授業への出席率 各学期における授業の出席については、最低90％以上の 11 留学生別科に出願する人の日本語能力について 出席率が必要です。欠席が多い場合（別に規定を定める） 大阪国際大学留学生別科の修業年限は1年間で、在籍延長 は、本人に警告を行います。それでも、授業の出席が改善 は認められません。従って、大学院・大学に進学するために されない時は、大阪国際大学留学生別科賞罰規定により は、別科に出願する時点で、少なくとも日本語能力試験N4 訓戒処分、あるいは退学処分が行われます。退学処分など レベル以上か同等の日本語能力が必要です。 学籍に関する異動については、入国管理局へ通告が行われ ます。 6 学期末試験と成績評価 各学期の終わりには、通常、学期末試験があります。試験 にはレポート、筆記、また実技や口頭試問など、さまざまな 方法で行われます。また、成績評価については、試験の結 果と平常の授業の様子などから総合的に判断されます。 評価はGPA（Grade Point Average）で行われます。 5 9 大学・大学院進学コース の希望者は、N3レベル以上の日 本語能力が必要となります。 Course Outline 1 The Academic Year Study at School of Japanese Studies for Foreign Students is possible for only one year, and this period cannot be extended. 2 Period of the Course There are two semesters in each academic year: Spring and Fall semesters. The periods of the semesters are: Spring（f irst）semester: early April to early August Fall（second）semester: mid-September to early February （next year） Admission from the fall semester is also possible (only up to a maximum of 1 year), but there are separate conditions for applying to each of the courses for the fall semester. Please contact us for details. 3 Class Hours At SJSFS, there are classes from Monday to Friday. 4 Holidays and Vacations ・ Saturdays and Sundays ・ National Holidays (There may be classwork.) ・ Anniversary of the Founding of OIU: January 18 ・ Summer and Winter Vacations The period of vacations may differ slightly from year to year depending on actual school calendar. 5 Class Attendance The minimum requirement that SJSFS sets is 90％ of the actual number of in-class lessons provided. The school office will give a warning to students whose absences are excessive（the rules are provided separately） . If such students fail to act on the advice given by the school and continue to show no sign of improvement on their class attendance records, they will be admonished or advised to withdraw in accordance with the regulations of reward and punishment set by SJSFS. Changes such as expulsion from school will be reported to the Immigration Bureau of Japan. 6 Term Examination and Grading System A term exam will be given at the end of each semester. There are several methods of examination such as reports, written exams, practical skills and oral exams. Grading normally will be based on the result of examination after attitude and performance during lectures are taken into consideration. Evaluation will be performed according to GPA (Grade Point Average). 7 Completion of the Course A completion certif icate and a grades/credits certif icate will be issued to each student who has successfully completed the course. In the case where a student has not obtained sufficient credits (i.e. 32) for the completion of the course or who have not achieved a GPA of at least 2.0, he/she will be given only a grades/credits certificate. 8 National Health Insurance, Overseas travelers’personal accident insurance Students enrolled in SJSFS must enter into the National Health Insurance program and have overseas travelers′accident insurance. 9 Intramural Selection System to OIU SJSFS students who hope to enter one of the Faculties of OIU can take the intramural admission which is different from the general foreign student examination. 10 Scholarship In 2014, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology（Monbukagakusho）provided 2 students in SJSFS with 48,000 yen（for 1 semester） /month as Honor Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students . The Recommendations for recipients of the "Honor Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students" will be decided upon based on the results of the placement test that will be held at the beginning of April and other factors. proficiency for 11 Japanese those who apply to SJSFS All SJSFS students must complete the course in one year; extending enrollment beyond the first year is not permitted. Therefore, when you apply to SJSFS, we strongly advise that those who wish to proceed to any undergraduate or graduate schools of universities have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test level N4 or have an equivalent level of Japanese language.
