第２ペテロ／2 Peter 1:3-8 (新改訳／NIV)
3 というのは、私たちをご自身の栄光と徳によってお召しになった方を私たちが知った
ことによって、主イエスの、神としての御力は、いのちと敬虔に関するすべてのことを
私たちに与えるからです。4 その栄光と徳によって、尊い、すばらしい約束が私たちに

3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our
knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he
has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may
participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil
desires. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to
goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control,
perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness;
and to brotherly kindness, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing
measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge
of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual growth includes these four factors:
1. 神様の言葉の知識と理解を増す
Increasing your knowledge and understanding of God's word
2. 罪の頻度と深さを減らす
Decreasing your frequency and severity of sin
3. キリストの品性を実行する。
Increasing your practice of Christ-like qualities
4. 神様に対する信仰／信頼を深める。
Increasing your faith and trust in God

Spiritual growth = becoming more like Jesus Christ
霊的成長のカギ／How can you grow spiritually?
箴言／Proverbs 13:20 (新改訳／NIV)
20 知恵のある者とともに歩む者は知恵を得る。愚かな者の友となる者は害を受ける。
He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
愚かな者＝善悪を知りながら、それに関心を払わない人
A fool = a person who knows the difference between right and wrong, but doesn’t care.
誰と親しく交わるかで、人生の方向性と質が決まる。
Your friends will determine the direction and quality of your life.
霊的成長は、目的を持った人間関係に入ることによって起こる。
You can grow spiritually by entering into purposeful relationships.

25 ある人々のように、いっしょに集まることをやめたりしないで、かえって励まし合
い、かの日が近づいているのを見て、ますますそうしようではありませんか。
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us
encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
