see, meet

会うというよりは、「見かける」「目にする」、「目に入ってくる」、
結果的には日本語の会うと近いイメージになります。
meet
「初めて会う」、「約束をして会う」というのが基本的なイメージです。
実際には、混同して使用されることが多いですが、「初めて会う」、「約束をして会う」以外
は、see を使用するのが良いでしょう。

* 初対面は「Nice to meet you.」、２回目以降は「Nice to see you.」を用います。

私は、毎日、図書館でその少女を見かける。
*知り合いかどうかは不明
私は、毎日、図書館でその少女と会う。

I meet the girl in the library every day.
私は、毎日、図書館でその少女と（約束して）会う。
I'm going to see him tomorrow.
明日、彼に会います。
I saw Ms.Kijima at Nagoya Station this morning.
私は今朝、名古屋駅で木島さんに会った。
I’d like to see you before you go.
あなたが出かける前にお会いしたいです。
I haven't seen Anna since 1995.
1995 年以来、アンナに会っていません。
You'd better see a dentist at once.
すぐ歯医者に診てもらいなさい。
