innovative European startups. The European Commission’s overarching objectives are to provide European citizens with the
best possible digital services and to create the largest possible digital single market for European companies.
High-level conference
The Driving the Digital Economy in Europe conference will be held annually from 2016 on. Featuring invited speakers from
industry and politics, it will track progress along the road to a digital single market with reference to global technological and
social trends and developments. The main focus will be on issues of particular importance for companies.

Cloud Computing Compliance Controls Catalogue (C5)
and Cloud Security Label
Convention Center (CC), room 104
Wednesday, 16 March 2016, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Presentation of the new Cloud Computing Compliance Controls Catalogue (C5) of the BSI. It is based on internationally
acknowledged IT security standards and the own expertise of the BSI. C5 is designed for compliance audits under the ISAE
3000 regime resulting in a SOC 2-report that is widely used and internationally recognized. C5 enables an "audit once - certify
many" approach that minimizes the efforts for attestation significantly.
The BSI also presents current work on a Cloud Security Label that is a joint project with the French ANSSI (Agence nationale
de la sécurité des systèmes d’information). It serves as an anchor of trust for bi- and international usage of trustworthy cloud
services.

ALWAYS ON - net cover and added value through Wi-Fi
Convention Center (CC), Saal 13/14
Wednesday, 16 March 2016, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
ALWAYS ON – something we're all familiar with in our private lives. And the business world will naturally follow suit. The
problem is the exploding volume of data. Experts predict a fourfold increase in the annual volume of data generated by 2020.
Data traffic in the global mobile phone network is expected to double every two years until then. And the Internet of Things
(IoT) will also make considerable demands on IT and network structures in terms of bandwidth and security. These
challenges must be adequately met if "always on" is to become a reality on company premises. This specialist forum deals
with the Wi-Fi infrastructure, mobile applications, legal aspects and outlook for 2020.

Wednesday, 16 March 2016, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Industrial Cloud Services will play a vital role in making future production and logistics processes more efficient and flexible
by making it possible to optimize the local collection and processing of production data, the utilization of Big Data as well as
the performance of plants and processes through continual data analysis. But which cloud concepts and technologies will
make the breakthrough in view of the various reference architectures? Will the clouds of the future be similar to those today or
will they be organized as decentralized and mobile due to extreme real-time demand? How will the security and reliability of
cloud services be guaranteed? And what kinds of new business models will be possible?
This year’s VDE/GI Forum at CeBIT 2016 offers experts from industry and the scientific community an exceptional
opportunity to discuss these and other urgent questions regarding Industrial Cloud Services as well as the latest technology
trends and solutions for Industrie 4.0.

Bitkom Smart Home Expert Day: Connected Life 2020
Hall 13, Stand E48 (Communications & IoT SOLUTIONS Forum)
Tuesday, 15 March 2016, 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The demand for Smart-Home has shown great development and a never seen acceleration in the past years. Known
producers of different industries - e.g. Consumer Electronics, IT, white goods or energy supply as well as Start-ups - are
frequently entering the market with smart and compatible products. New, innovative products provide high standards
regarding feasibility, userbility and improved compatibility amongst them. Clients and producers are the ones to benefit from
this "within"-compatiblity, which in turn is currently provided by open interface. But the question arises as to how close are we
from having a Smart Home, where devices happen to communicate with each other? And is it necessary? These and other
questions are discussed by Smart Home-Experts at the Smart Home Expert Day organized by Bitkom on the CeBIT 2016.
