レギュラトリーサイエンスは公衆衛生を最大化するために、様々な情報と知識を通じてベネ
フィットとリスクを判断する総合的な学術領域であり、医薬品開発と許認可に欠かせない学問
である。薬理学者にとって、レギュラトリーサイエンスの論理構造を理解することは、グロー
バル医薬品開発環境に対応するために極めて重要であるだけでなく、薬理学と言う、薬の生物
学的反応や有効性を明らかにする、総合的な学術領域への原点回帰になるのではないだろうか。
本シンポジウムでは、産官学の薬理学におけるレギュラトリーサイエンスに関わる最新の情報
と今後の展望を共有し、薬理学からの医薬品開発に寄与したいと考える。
Regulatory science is an integrated discipline to judge benefit and risk for maximization of
public health through miscellaneous information and knowledge, and an indispensable for drug
development and approval. To understand the theoretical framework of regulatory science for
pharmacologists is highly important for adapting to the global drug development environment as
well as going back to the root of pharmacology as another integrated discipline to clarify effects
and/or biological responses of drugs. In this session, we will share up-to-date information and
discuss prospective of regulatory science in pharmacology among industry, government, and
academia.
