2～4 週間の研修期間となる
本プログラム。ご要望によって長期研修の手配も可能です。
午前中（毎日）の英語研修に加え、午後（週 3 回）を幼稚園・保育園にてインターン
としての経験を積むプログラム。
英語研修
は Newmarket と呼ばれるオークランド市街地の中でもおし
ゃれな地区に学校を構えています。英語の授業は生徒さんのレベルに合わせてう
まく構成されており、読み書き、聞き取り、会話能力に重点を置いた、短期間で
も最大の結果を出せるような授業構成になっています。週１２時間（月曜～金曜）
の一般英語研修に加え、週４時間のコミュニケーション能力向上のための授業を
受講していただきます。

幼稚園・保育園
インターンシップ先はオークランド市内にある幼稚園または保育園となります。
インターン生として幼児と様々なアクティビティーやゲーム授業の補助をしてい
ただきます。インターン先のスタッフ、幼児たちとのコミュニケーションは本プログラムを受講する上で必須
となってきます。

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What happens on the first day of placement?
A. You will be taken to a childcare centre by Kiwi English staff for a quick orientation
and introduction to the centre staff. You will also be shown the bus stops to get on/off.
Q. How to get to my placement?
A. You will need to catch a bus. The internship coordinator will give you the bus
information.
Q. What do I need to bring?
A. Students need to bring lunch.
Q. What are the work hours?
A. 1.30pm – 4.30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. No work on weekends.
Q. Do I need to have special skills to work with children?
A. You don’t need to have any special skills or training. All you need is to love children
and enjoy playing with them.
Q. How big is the centre?
A. Childcare centres usually have around 25-30 children from the age of 3 months to 5
years. You will be asked which age group you would prefer to work with. The children
are divided into under 2s, over 2s, and pre-schoolers 4-5 years old.
Q. Will I be able to practise my English?
A. Surely! You will be working with children and the centre staff. There will be plenty
of opportunities to practise your English. Please feel free to ask if you don’t understand
something the first time.
