The successful applicant will also be expected to participate in the development of the subject and Department. University of Gothenburg Dept of Languages and Literatures The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance and in the University of Gothenburg’s Appointments Procedure. To be eligible for the position, the applicant must hold a doctoral degree or equivalent foreign degree. Since a postdoc constitutes a qualifying appointment for younger researchers, the advertised position targets primarily applicants with a doctoral degree obtained within 3 years prior to the application deadline. In assessment of an applicant’s qualifications, particular attention will be given to documented scholarly proficiency in the relevant subject area. The applicant’s research plans will also be considered; a written project outline must be submitted for this purpose (maximum length: three A4 pages).
