ケニア RWI：
2015 年へ移行に伴う年式規制に関するお知らせ
2014 年から 2015 年に移行するにあたり、KS1515:2000 にてケニア基準局(KEBS)が定めているケニア向け輸
出車輌に関するご案内です。
ご存知の通り、初年度登録より 8 年以上の車輌はケニアの輸入が認められません。その為、この 8 年規制に準
じ、ケニアで承認される車輌の年式が変更となります。
2015 年 1 月より、初年度登録(YOR)が 2008 年以降の車輌のみケニアの輸入が認められます。但し、その車輌
の製造年(YOM)が初年度登録より 1 年以上経過している場合は認められませんので、ご注意願います。
尚、初年度登録が 2007 年の車輌のケニア路上使用適格証明書は 2014 年 12 月 31 日で無効になります。証明書
の有効期限が 2014 年 12 月 31 日の車輌は、2015 年以降、KS1515:2000 に適合しない為、輸入者の費用負担に
て拒否されます。また、2007 年の車輌は 2014 年 12 月 31 日までにケニアに到着し、現地での登録を完了しな
ければなりません。2015 年以降につきましては、下記の初年度登録ならびに製造年に関する判定例をご参照下
さい。

Kenya Roadworthiness Inspection RWI – Age Limitation for 2015
Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) KS1515:2000 Clause 2.5 state the age limit requirement for vehicles
exported to the country of Kenya. All road vehicles which are more eight (8) years old from the year of
manufacture shall not be allowed for importation.
In accordance with the standard, KEBS has issued “Public Notice” with regard to the change of year model
accepted to Kenya from 1st January 2015 as per attached.
With this, ATJ would like to remind our customers that only vehicles that has 1st Year Registration (YOR) shall
be 2008 and onwards will be accepted for importation to Kenya, and that the Year of Manufacture (YOM) shall
not be more than one year from the date of 1st year of registration.
Certificates of Roadworthiness (COR) for vehicles whose year of first registration is Year of Registration YOR
2007 will not be valid after 31st of December 2014. All vehicles issued with such certificates must have arrived at
the Port of Destination by 31st December 2014. Any 2007 model vehicles arriving after 31st December 2014 will
be deemed not complying with KS1515:2000 and will be rejected at the importer’s expense.

NOTICE TO IMPORTERS OF
USED/SECOND HAND MOTOR VEHICLES
Pursuant to the provision of KS 1515:2000 - Kenya Standard Code of Practice for
Inspection of Road Vehicles and Legal Notice No. 78 of 15th July 2005 –The
Verification of Conformity to Kenya Standards of Imports Order, we wish to notify
all importers of used/second hand motor vehicles including returning residents,
diplomatic staff and the general public that only motor vehicles whose Year of
First Registration is from 1st January 2008 and later shall be allowed into the
country as from 1st January 2015.
Vehicles that are exported from countries where KEBS has pre –export
verification of conformity arrangements with partners for motor vehicles shall
also need to be accompanied by Certificates of Roadworthiness issued in the
countries of export (country of supply) by any of the KEBS appointed partners.
It is further notified that Certificates of Roadworthiness for vehicles whose year of
first registration is 2007 will not be valid after 31st December, 2014. All vehicles
issued with such certificates must have arrived at the Port of Entry by 31st
December 2014. Any 2007 model vehicles arriving after 31st December 2014 will be
deemed not complying with KS1515:2000 and shall be rejected at the port of entry
at the importer’s expense.
