群馬県知事スピーチ
（群馬県知事の大澤正明です。

このたびの「富岡製糸場と絹産業遺産群」の登録決定を大変喜ばしく
思います。
今後はこの喜びを忘れることなく、この遺産を保全し、将来の世代に
伝えていくために最善を尽くします。
絹はあこがれの繊維でした。この絹の大量生産の途をひらき、世界の
多くの人が絹を使ったファッションを楽しめるようにしたのが、我々
の遺産群の果たした役割です。
御出席の皆様とこれまでの過程に関わった全ての皆様に心から感謝
申し上げます。有り難うございました。

I am so happy to have witnessed the decision
to inscribe “Tomioka Silk Mill and Related Sites”
on the List.
We should keep this honor in mind
and will continue to do our best to conserve
and pass this heritage on to future generations.
Silk was the fiber of dreams.
I think our heritage played an important role
in realizing the mass production of silk,
and made many people in the world
enjoy silk clothes.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation
to all the participants of this meeting
as well as to all the people involved in the process.
