情報教室とPCコーナー 情報教室 37 教室、PC コーナー 18 箇所（学部、研究科などの専用設備を除く）等に 約 3000 台の PC を整備し、授業や学生の自学自習利用に提供しています。高度な専 門分野での利用・幅広い教育研究活動に対応するため、Office ソフトのみならず、統 計解析ソフトや統合開発環境、CAD などの幅広いソフトウェアを導入するとともに UNIX や Linux の利用環境も整備しています。 情報教室にはネットブート型シンクライアントシステム、PC コーナー他については VDI（Virtual Desktop Infrastructure） システムを導入し、システムメンテナンス作 業によるダウンタイムの短縮につとめ、機密性、可用性の両面から高いセキュリティ水 準を保っています。 DoKoDeMo PC 貸出用に VDI（Virtual Desktop Infrastructure ）システムを利用したディスクレス シンクライアントノート PC を約 400 台配備しています。 ディスクレス PC を導入する ことで、管理コストの軽減と高いセキュリティ水準の両立を実現しています。 これらの PC は貸出ロッカーにより管理され、利用者が IC カードを使用することで、貸 出返却を自動化しています。Web 画面で PC の空き状況を確認するのみならず、利用 予約を行うことも可能です。 情報教室や PC コーナーは、10GbE の高速大容量のバックボーンネットワークに収容されており、大容量の教育研究データも遅延なく快適 に利用することができます。主要なネットワーク機器は多重化され、高性能のファイアウォールを適切に配置することで、安全で安定した利用環 境を実現しています。 情報メディア館（JM） 良心館（RY） 今出川校地 サーバルーム ◆ 情報教室 17教室 ◆ PCコーナー 1カ所 Active learning and other types of student-centered learning activities have risen in prominence in recent years amid a qualitative transformation of higher education. At Doshisha University, we endeavor to achieve greater functionality for learning spaces and offer opportunities for active learning to improve the quality of study by maximizing independent study outside of class. To that end, we continuously design ICT environments to fit the individual roles played by various learning spaces, including the Learning Commons, libraries, IT classrooms, and research labs, as well as improving and expanding our digital infrastructure. We are also focusing on creating virtual learning spaces - not just as physical spaces, but as a digital network. Our basic concept is to get rid of any physical and temporal restraints associated with ICT, and to that end we have deployed a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) system, which allows users to interact with virtual computers over the network, to provide 24-hour-a-day service that provides borrowed laptops as well as users' own computers, smartphones, and tablets with access to functionality equal to that of university computers. The 400 laptops available for borrowing are diskless thin clients designed to prevent data leaks, so that users can use them securely and with peace of mind. Students use their IC card-equipped IDs not only to log in to university computers but also for things like borrowing and returning computers and printing from the on-demand printers, which helps prevent illegal access or mistaken denial of access when using the university's ICT system. Security is the name of our game when it comes to user authentication.
