Q1：留学ビザが 3 月 31 日で切れますが、すぐに一時出国をしたいです。大丈夫ですか？
My student visa expires on March 31, but I would like to leave Japan temporarily.
What should I do?
A1：出国前に、入国国管理局で「留学ビザ更新」および「再入国許可」の手続きをしてか
ら出国して下さい。「再入国許可」手続きの際、特例期間として、留学ビザ期限から+（プ
ラス）2 か月後まで再入国可能となる申請があります。現在、入管はたいへん混み合ってい
ますので、時間に余裕を持っていきましょう。立川出張所または品川のどちらでも手続き
できます。

Before you leave Japan, please apply for ‘visa extension’ and ‘re-entry permit’. In
some special cases, the immigration may allow you extra 2 months re-entry period from
your visa expiry date. The immigration offices are very crowded right now, so please be
there early. You may go to the immigration bureau in either Tachikawa or Shinagawa.

Q2：いま、すでに海外に出国しています。留学ビザが３月３１日で切れますが、更新申請
手続きをしていません／更新申請はしましたが、まだ結果がでていません。
I am already outside of Japan.
-My student visa expires on March 31, but I have not applied for a visa extension yet.
-I have applied for extension already, but I have not had the result yet.
A2：いずれの場合も、3 月 31 日までに日本へ戻ってこられないときは、留学ビザは切れて、
再入国はできません。
→短期滞在ビザ免除国の場合（韓国、台湾、アメリカ等）
事前のビザ申請なしでとりあえずは日本へ入国できます。入国後に、東京入管で「在留資
格認定申請」をし、認定証が交付され次第、「留学」ビザへ変更をすれば大丈夫です。
→短期滞在ビザ免除国でない場合（中国、モンゴル等）
再度「在留資格認定申請」をする必要があります。大学が代理申請をしますので、国際課
（[email protected]）へご連絡下さい。
In either case, you will not be able to re-enter as a student after March 31.
Nationals of Countries with visa exemption (South Korea, Taiwan, USA, etc):
You do not need to apply for a visa to enter Japan. Once you enter Japan, apply for
Certificate of Eligibility at the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau immediately.
Upon receiving this certificate, you can change your visa status to ‘student’.
Nationals of Countries without visa exemption (China, Mongolia, etc):
You will need to apply for Certificate of Eligibility before you can obtain your visa to
enter Japan. The university will apply for it on your behalf, so please contact the
International Affairs Office ([email protected]).
（国費留学生）[MEXT SCHOLARSHIP]
Q3：国費留学生ですが、３月中には戻れないと思います。在籍確認サインは４月になって
からでも大丈夫ですか？／４月のサインは何日までにすればよいですか？
I am a recipient of Mext scholarship. I will not be returning to Japan in March, can I
sign for my enrollment confirmation in April? For the enrollment confirmation for
April, when is the last day I can sign?
A3：日本学生支援機構から大学へ通知が届きました。被災地の東北地方以外の大学（一橋
大学も含む）ではサインは通常どおり行わなければなりません。国費留学生のみなさんに
はメールでも通知していますので、確認してください。
The Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) has notified us that the students
must sign for the enrollment confirmation as usual in areas (including Hitotsubashi
University) that were not directly affected by Tohoku earthquake. We have already sent
out e-mails regarding this to MEXT scholarship students, so please check your e-mail.

Q4: 一時帰国しているが、退去日の 25 日までに戻るか迷っている。3 月 25 日までに戻ら
なかった場合、荷物をそのまま置かせて貰えませんか。
I am away from Japan temporarily, but I do not know if I want to return by March 25.
May I leave my personal belongings in my room?
Ａ4: プラザ管理室担当者に部屋から荷物を運び出して貰って、荷物を預かって貰ってくだ
さい。移動費用はデポジットから差し引きます。
The plaza management office staff will move your belongings and store it upon your
request. The fee required for this will be deducted from your deposit.
Q5: 3 月 29 日の入居日以降の日付指定で荷物を送るようにウェブサイトの入居者へのお知
らせにありますが、日付指定で送る場合は日本の郵便局では到着日 10 日以前の発送はでき
ないと言われたため、これから避難する私は 3 月 29 日以降の日付指定で送ることができま
せん。前もって荷物を受け取って貰えませんか。
On your website, it says to arrange parcels to arrive after the move-in date (March 29)
by delivery-date specified service. However, at the post office, they did not let me send
it since they only allow me to choose the delivery date within the next 10 days. I am
leaving for a precautionary measure immediately, so I am unable to choose an
appropriate delivery date. Can you receive my parcels before the 29th?
Ａ5: 知り合いに頼むなど工夫して日付指定で 29 日以降に到着するように送ってください。
どうしても 29 日以降の日付指定で遅れない場合は、国際課に相談してください。
Please do not send anything that would arrive before March 29th. You may need to
ask your friend or acquaintance in Japan to help you with this matter. If it is
impossible to make this arrangement, please consult with the International Affairs
Office.
