Un mercante d’arte. Una vita
dedicata alla bellezza. La
mostra di un artista inedito
presso un nuovo museo. Fuori
il palazzo conserva il suo
sapore storico, ma dentro è
un tripudio post-moderno di
rivestimenti in marmo. Ogni
sala un’emozione cromatica
differente: marmo grigio, beige,
rosso, bianco. Il mercante si
concentra sulla prima tela, ma
il suo occhio viene rapito dalle
eleganti venature della parete
dietro la cornice. Prova in una
seconda sala, ma è impossibile
per lui non rimanere affascinato
dal caldo timbro beige dei
pavimenti.

An art dealer and a life dedicated
to beauty. The exhibition of
an unknown artist in a new
museum. On the outside the
building still preserves its
historical flavour whist inside
there is a post-modern riot of
marble facings. Each room is
a different chromatic emotion:
grey, beige, red and white
marble. The dealer concentrates
on the first painting, but his
eyes are drawn to the elegant
veins of the wall behind the
frame. He tries another room,
but it’s impossible not to
remain captivated by the warm
beige tones of the floors.

La forza del marmo
avvolge il suo corpo
in una comunione
di bellezza.
È un inebriante continuum di linee, chiaroscuri, un
libro pieno di storie, segni, simboli da decodificare il
cui protagonista assoluto è il marmo. Il mercante ne è
oramai posseduto in tutti i suoi sensi: si guarda intorno,
si sdraia lentamente a terra, la superficie lucente lo
accoglie in un fresco abbraccio. La forza del marmo
avvolge il suo corpo in una comunione di bellezza.
Sorride. È la mostra più coinvolgente che abbia mai
visto.

It is a heady continuum of lines, chiaroscuro, a book
filled with stories, signs and symbols to be deciphered,
with the marble as the main protagonist. The dealer
is by now raptured in all his senses: he looks around,
slowly lies on the floor and the shining surface welcomes
him in a cool embrace. The marble’s strength wraps his
body in a communion of beauty. He smiles. It’s the most
captivating show that he has ever seen.
