Prof. Arch. Giuseppe Marinelli De Marco
Exponent of Italian and International post rationalism tendence on the seventies with other
Roman young architects forming the ”Studio Labyrinth” Group
(see the Einaudi Encyclopedia of Architecture).
Giuseppe Marinelli was recently invited to be present in the main International architectural
retrospective e.g. as the Pompidou Centre, the Maxxi in Rome, and the Shusek, National
Museum of Architecture in Moscow, which currently include some of his drawings in their
collections, his work has been published in main Italian and foreign architectural magazines,
as “Casabella”, “Domus”, “Architecture d’aujourd'hui” and “Space Design”.
After teaching in the University Faculty of Architecture in Rome he is
Professor of Basic Design and Meta-design, in the ISIA ROMA DESIGN school in which he is
also Deputy Director. For two terms Academic Board member.
Expert in training and innovation processes for companies, he has
given a lot of lectures and workshops on scenarios for Innovation in Industrial Design,
subject in which he is an expert, in various Italian universities, as in Europe, Japan and the
United States.
Me mber of the Scientific Committee of the University of Advancing Technology, Phoenix Az
USA. Expert in Architecture and Design for societies in transition, as well as in Exhibition
Design Museum, the architect Giuseppe Marinelli is still involving many energies to the
development of a new approach to the industrial design project in the furniture sector,
specially in wood.
He was awarded two special mentions from ADI for his work on the theory and practice of
museums. It has been invited to the Italian Pavilion at the 13th Architecture Biennale in
Venice, and among many cultural activities.
He is the creator and organizer of the Design Week in Pordenone, a city where he is the
coordinator of the Three Years Design Course of ISIA.
