3rd International Conference
on the Roman Danubian Provinces
Society and Economy

Dear Colleagues,
After the 1st and 2nd International Conference on the Roman Danubian Provinces both hosted by the
“Laboratorio di studi e ricerche sulle Antiche province Danubiane” (LAD) of the University of
Ferrara, the “Department of Ancient History and Antiquity Studies, Papyrology and Epigraphy” of
the University of Vienna gladly invites you to the 3rd International Conference on the Roman
Danubian Provinces.
The conference will take place in Vienna from Wednesday, November 11th to Friday, November
13th 2015. The organizing committee invites abstracts for papers on the topic Society and Economy
in the Roman Danubian Provinces. A maximum of 20 minutes will be allotted for the delivery of
accepted papers. Submissions may be in English, French, German or Italian.
Abstracts must be no more then 300 words and submitted by mail. The deadline for submission is
December 31st 2014.
Attendance at the conference is free. The participants will have to pay for their own travel and
accommodation expenses, but there will be the possibility to apply for bursaries of AIEGL.
More information will be available from January 2015.
