Workplace3.0: SaloneUfficio’s latest exhibition concept
The Salone dedicated to the workplace has taken on the new designation
Workplace3.0/SaloneUfficio, an innovative exhibition area devoted to design and
technology in workspace planning. A multitude of design proposals and inspiration for
living the workspace in its many current interpretations, showcased from 14th to 19th
April at the Rho Milan Fairgrounds.
Strategically located in Pavilions 2222-24 – opposite the Euroluce pavilions to help visitors
navigate the world of workspace design and the complementary lighting world with ease –
Workplace3.0 occupies 11,500 square metres of exhibition space and hosts 127
exhibiting companies working on solutions that dovetail with the new ways of working
and the new design requisites for “inhabiting” the workspace. The world of work is
changing rapidly, along with the actual concept of work: new methods call for different
workspaces. Workplace3.0, devoted to design and technology, is the best-equipped event
to respond to this shift and to market demand. It will be showcasing top furnishing
solutions for offices, banks and insurance companies, post offices and public spaces;
chairs for offices and community spaces, sound components, internal partitions and
coverings, office furnishing accessories and audio-video technology.
The Workplace3.0 pavilions will also host Michele De Lucchi’s
Lucchi The Walk, a huge
installation devoted to the workplace. The driving concept was that the office of the future
needs to shed convention and breed innovation, and is a metaphor for the importance of
never staying still, not even in the office. The realisation of this vision has made for a
layout split into four themed areas – Club, Free Men,
Men, Agorà and Laboratory
Laboratory – reflecting
the designer’s theories.
WiFi is available in Pavilions 22 and 24.
