Department of Radiotherapy
Course MRI in radiotherapy 2015
Yearly course, given from 17 to 19 March at UMC Utrecht, department Radiotherapy.
In radiotherapy a trend is evident of increasing use of MRI in radiotherapy. Therefore,
a need is created in radiation oncology to learn about implementation, interpretation
and workflow of MRI for radiotherapy applications. This course is intended for radiation
oncologists, residents, medical physicists and trainees, who want to learn about the
usage of MRI specifically for radiotherapy. It is also open for participants with different
backgrounds. The course is divided in two parts, a general part for all attendants in
the morning. In the afternoon, delineation sessions will be given for the radiation
oncologists, residents and PhD students with a medical background. Meanwhile,
technical and physics aspects of MRI will be discussed for physicists, trainees and PhD
students with a technical or physics background.
The course will be given on 3 consecutive days form 10 a.m. till the end of the
afternoon (~17:30). The course language is English. Lunch will be served near the
auditorium. For trainees, PhD students and master students the course is free of costs.
For staff members, the fee is € 400,-. After application you will receive information
about payment.
CME points are requested at the NVRO, NVKF and NVMBRT.
