Samenstelling
Bevat per ml 100 mg amoxicilline (als trihydraat).
Eigenschappen
Amoxicilline is een breedspectrum penicilline. Het werkt bactericide door verhindering van de
mucopolysacchariden opbouw van de bacteriële celwand. Deze structuur geeft de nodige rigiditeit aan
de celwand om weerstand te kunnen bieden aan de hoge intracellulaire osmotische druk. Door
inwerking van amoxicilline komt het tot een ruptuur van de bacteriële celwand en tot lysis van de
bacterie. Amoxicilline wordt na parenterale toediening goed geresorbeerd vanuit de injectieplaats. De
weefseldistributie voor amoxicilline is goed waarbij hoge concentraties gevonden worden in spieren,
lever, gal, nier, urine en het maagdarmkanaal.

Rund, varken, hond en kat.
Indicaties
Rund:
- luchtweginfecties veroorzaakt door Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica, Haemophilus
spp. en Streptococcus spp.
- huidinfecties veroorzaakt door Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica, Haemophilus spp.,
Staphylococcus spp. en Streptococcus spp.
- infecties veroorzaakt door Salmonella spp.
Varken:
- luchtweginfecties veroorzaakt door Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus spp. en Streptococcus suis
- infecties veroorzaakt door Escherichia coli
- vlekziekte veroorzaakt door Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae
- M.M.A. syndroom
Hond:
- luchtweginfecties veroorzaakt door Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Haemophilus spp.,
Escherichia coli en Proteus mirabilis.
- urogenitaalinfecties veroorzaakt door Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli
en Proteus mirabilis.
- maagdarmkanaalinfecties veroorzaakt door voor amoxicilline gevoelige pathogenen zoals
Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli en Proteus mirabilis op geleide van een specifiek
antibiogram.
- huidinfecties veroorzaakt door: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.,
Escherichia coli en Pasteurella multocida.
Kat:
- luchtweginfecties veroorzaakt door Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus
spp., Haemophilus spp., Escherichia coli, Pasteurella spp. en Proteus mirabilis.
- urogenitaalinfecties veroorzaakt door Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus
spp., Escherichia coli en Proteus mirabilis.

Toediening/dosering
10 mg amoxicilline per kg lichaamsgewicht, twee maal daags, gedurende 3 dagen.
Rund en varken: intramusculair
Hond en kat: intramusculair of subcutaan.
Maximaal 20 ml per injectieplaats. Teneinde een juiste dosering te berekenen, dient het
lichaamsgewicht zo nauwkeurig mogelijk te worden bepaald. Dit om onderdosering te vermijden.
Contra-indicaties
Niet gebruiken bij infecties veroorzaakt door penicillinase producerende bacteriën, bij

Vervolg contra-indicaties
overgevoeligheid voor penicilline of bij ernstige nierfunctiestoornissen. Kan tijdens dracht en lactatie
worden gebruikt.

Voorzorgen
In verband met sensibilisatie en contactdermatitis dient bij toepassing direct huidcontact vermeden te
worden. Draag daartoe handschoenen.
Bewaarcondities/Houdbaarheid
Bewaren beneden 25ºC. Niet in koelkast of vriezer bewaren. Beschermen tegen licht. Houdbaar tot 2
jaar na productiedatum. Aangeprikte flacon is 6 maanden houdbaar.
