coordinated (Floater et al. 2014)
– compact urban growth: through managed
expansion and/or urban retrofitting that
encourages higher densities, contiguous
development, functionally and socially mixed
neighborhoods, walkable and human-scale local
urban environments, the redevelopment of
existing brownfield sites and provision of green
spaces.
