Charity Fundraising for Fundashon Kresh Seru Fortuna April 1st , 2014 Dear Entrepreneur, Every year in the past after the conclusion of the Queen’s Day celebration, Dutch Dream Special Events Curacao has made a silent donation to a very special organization in Curacao. This year we are working together with the Federatie Antilliaanse Jeugdzorg (FAJ), and it will be a joint effort of almost all Punda merchants, sponsors and visitors to the King’s Day event. We will be promoting this initiative before and during King’s Day in order to create more awareness among all participants to ensure a successful event with regards to fundraising. We are using this year’s King’s Day to reach our fundraising goal. Federatie Antilliaanse Jeugdzorg The Federatie Antilliaanse Jeugdzorg was established in 1952 and is an umbrella organization active in Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, St Eustatius and St Maarten. The aim of the FAJ is to promote effective youth care. FAJ has a central administration board with regional boards on all the Islands and a total of 150 affiliated member organizations. More information will be found on their website: http://www.faj.cw Fundashon Kresh Seru Fortuna Fundashon Kresh Seru Fortuna was established on 17 December 1980 and is located in the Seru Fortuna district. The Kresh (Child Care Centre) urgently needs educational toys, games and material. In addition, the building where the Kresh is housed requires immediate repair and maintenance. 1. Kaleidoscoop Naf 7,179.35 Kaleidoscoop is a teaching program that supports and stimulates the child through play, whereby the learning process is optimal. It invites the child to actively participate in the learning process. It concentrates on language and thinking development. Becoming independent, learning cooperatively and creative development are central to Kaleidoscoop’s philosophy. See attachment for more detailed information. 2. Building Repair Naf 44,239.30 When it rains, the roof leaks and that is definitely not in the best interests of the children who are cared for and supported there the whole day. Our GOAL is to reach Naf 51,418.65. In order to help this organization, we have arranged the following activities for raising funds: • All Punda merchants are asked to donate Nafl. 100.00 per store. Activities during King’s Day Wednesday 30th April • Bolo (Cake) 60 mtr long in Breedestraat. Small slices are sold by the staff of FAJ/ Fundashon Kresh Seru Fortuna. Each slice costs Naf 5.-‐. • De Goede Doel Winkel (Charity Shop): We are going to collect as many (new) articles/products as possible from all kinds of stores. All these products will be on sale at attractive prices in the Charity Shop on 30 April. The proceeds will be put towards the total project. FAJ/Kresh personnel will be in charge of the shop on 30 April. The play school has been chosen in cooperation with the Federatie Antilliaanse Jeugdzorg The project must be for the benefit of the youth. 1. The project must have an educational factor. 2. The project must be structural in nature. 3. The project will be supported in the form of purchasing material, and never in the form of cash. We would therefore like to ask you to help us with the following activity: Do you have any articles or products to donate for sale in the Goede Doel Winkel (Charity Shop)? For example, clothing, books, shoes, food, electronics, toys etc.…. De GOEDE DOEL WINKEL must be completely full with your donated products! De GOEDE DOEL WINKEL is in Hanchi di Snoa and will be well advertised in the media.
