This course is designed for physicians who are already familiar with the theory and literature on stroke, and will impart a deeper familiarity with the technical aspects of image-guided stroke therapies. What will you learn? The course will cover: • imaging protocols and diagnosis of stroke • the role of IVT and IAT and the evidence supporting their use • how to perform IAT and the possible complications that may arise • further considerations: occlusion and pseudo-occlusion of the ICA, posterior circulation, the Circle of Willis • hands-on sessions on thrombectomy T. Andersson K. Hausegger G. Lycklama A. Mosch Course Often described as “stately”, The Hague is both the seat of the Dutch government and a centre for international law. The Binnenhof, a picturesque collection of buildings located by a pond, is not your average government complex. And there’s plenty to do that has nothing to do with diplomacy. The Mauritshuis features masterpieces by Rembrandt and Vermeer, including the famous ‘Girl With a Pearl Earring’. The Escher Museum, formerly a royal residence, showcases the unique prints of M.C. Escher, world-renowned for their intriguing spatial effects. The city’s Indonesian restaurants are justifiably creating a buzz. If you truly want to go Dutch, hop on a bicycle to explore the pretty parks dotting the city, or embrace the kitschy allure of Scheveningen, a seaside resort, during a walk along its beaches. Don’t forget to treat yourself to some Genever, the traditional, juniper-flavoured liquor favoured by locals. R. van den Berg L. van Dijk H. van Overhagen M. van Walderveen J.A.
