concerning the Memoir’44 Belgian Open 2014.

de Days of Wonder, Asmodee Benelux,
la Fédération française de Mémoire 44
(FFM44) et de nombreux bénévoles.

Benelux, la Fédération française de mémoire 44 (FFM44) en talrijke vrijwilligers.

Tous les scénarios seront tenus secrets jusqu’au moment de les
jouer. Seules quelques personnes les
connaissent et les auront testés ; ces
personnes s’interdisent bien entendu
de participer au tournoi ou de communiquer des informations à quiconque.

gehouden tot op het moment dat ze
gespeeld worden op het toernooi.
Slecht een paar personen kennen ze en
zullen de scenario’s veelvuldig getest
hebben.

Le thème de cette année est
« Bastogne 44 ». Chaque scénario sera
bien entendu introduit par une bande
annonce afin de tous nous mettre dans
l’ambiance. Un briefing complet sur les
règles propres au scénario suivra.

The event is organised by the
M44 Club with logistic support from
Days of Wonder, Asmodee Benelux, la
Fédération française de Mémoire 44
(FFM44) and lots of volunteers.
All scenario’s are kept secret
untill the moment they are played at
the tournament. Only some persons will
know them in advance and will have
tested them.
T h i s y e a r ’s t h e m e i s
“ Bastogne 44 ”. Each scenario will be
preceded by a short film to bring everyone in the right mood. A full briefing
on the scenario-specific rules will follow.

iedereen in de juiste sfeer te brengen.

Nous vous rappelons l’importance que nous accorderons au respect
des horaires et nous vous demandons
de vraiment envisager vos trajets de
manière à prévoir une petite marge de
sécurité.

nodige veiligheidsmarge tijdens uw
verplaatsing naar het evenement.

Vous pouvez arriver plus tôt ; le
bar et l’accueil seront accessibles mais
en aucun cas la salle du tournoi. La
journée du samedi devrait se terminer
pour 22h30 au plus tard. Le dimanche,
nous commencerons à 9h00 pour finir
à 17h au plus tard.

U mag vroeger arriveren, de bar
en ontvangst zullen open/aanwezig zijn.
De zaal waar het toernooi plaatsvindt is
niet betreedbaar voor de start van het
toernooi. De toernooidag op zaterdag
eindigt ten laatste om 22:30. Op zondag
starten we om 9 :00 om te eindigen ten
laatste om 17:00.

Transport
We remind you the importance
of arriving in time and to respect the
timetable. Make sureyou have a time
safety margin on your way to the event.
Start of the event on Saturday
the 4th at 13:00.
Arriving earlier is no problem, the
bar will be open. The room wherein the
tournament takes place can’t be entered
before the start of the tournament. On
Saturday the tournament ends at least
at 22:30. It starts Sunday at 9:00 to end
at least at 17:00.

En train : la gare se trouve à deux
cents mètres de la salle de l’Open.

toernooi.

tournament-building.
La gare de « Louvain-la-Neuve –
Université » est reliée directement au
noeud ferroviaire d’Ottignies, situé sur la
ligne de chemin de fer Bruxelles-Namur,
où passent 2 trains par heure dans
chaque sens, y compris le week-end.
Het station van ‘Louvain-la-Neuve –
Université’ is direct verbonden met het
treinknooppunt van Ottignies, welke
gesitueerd is op de lijn Brussel-Namen.
Per uur zijn er 2 treinen in elke richting
(ook in het weekend).
The railwaystation of Louvain-la-Neuve
is directly connected with the railway
junction of Ottignies which is situated
on the line Brussels-Namur. There are
2 trains every hour in each direction
(even so during the weekend).
Louvain-la-Neuve (ne pas confondre
avec « Louvain », traduction en français
de « Leuven ») est accessible à partir de
Bruxelles en une demi-heure, parfois
sans changer de train.
Louvain-la-Neuve (niet verwarren met
“ Louvain ”, franstalige vertaling van
“ Leuven ”) is bereikbaar vanuit Brussel in
een half uur, vaak zonder overstappen.
Louvain-la-Neuve (not to be confused
with “ Louvain ”, which is the french
translation of “ Leuven ”) is accessible
by train from Brussels in a half an hour,
without making a change.

• S i vous venez de Namur ou de
Charleroi, vous devrez changer de
train à Ottignies.
• Indien u van Namen of Charleroi
komt, dient u te veranderen van trein
in Ottignies.
• When you are coming from the direction of Namur or Charleroi, you need
to make a change in Ottignies.
• Si vous venez du Luxembourg, descendez à Ottignies (si vous êtes dans l’EC 96
Iris ou dans l’EC 90 Vauban qui vient de
Suisse, vous devrez changer à Namur).
• Indien u van Luxemburg komt, overstappen in Ottignies (indien u zich in de
EC 96 Iris of de EC 90 bevindt die van
Zwitserland komt, dient u reeds over
te stappen in Namen).
• When you are coming from Luxemburg,
make a change in Ottignies (when
you’re on the EC 96 Iris or the EC 90
from Switzerland, you need to make
a change in Namur).
• Si vous venez d’un autre pays, descendez à Bruxelles-Nord.
• Indien u vanuit een ander land komt,
overstappen in Brussel-Noord.
• Sinon, descendez à Bruxelles-Midi, d’où
partent tous les trains à destination
d’Ottignies, via Bruxelles-Central,
Bruxelles-Nord, Bruxelles-Schuman
et Bruxelles-Luxembourg (anciennement : Bruxelles-Quartier Léopold).
• In elk ander geval, stap over in BrusselZuid, vanwaar alle treinen vertrekken met bestemming Ottignies via
Brussel-centraal, Brussel Noord, Brussel
Schuman en Brussel-Luvemburg
(vroeger : Brussel-Kwartier Leopold).

in Brussels-North.

En voiture : Louvain-La-Neuve
se trouve à la sortie 8A de l’autoroute
E411(Bruxelles-Namur).
4.2.
La ville étant piétonne dès 10h du matin,
un GPS ne vous sera d’aucun secours
pour arriver en voiture sur la place
des sciences. Par contre, d’immenses
parkings souterrains sont accessibles
deux étages en dessous. Ce sont des
parkings gratuits et ils sont toujours
libres le week-end. Ils’agit du parking
« Sciences » ou « P23 » qui se situe sur
la Voie des Hennuyers un peu après le
numéro 37.
Aangezien het centrum van de stad
vanaf 10 :00 verkeersvrij is, zal een gps
u niet van dienst zijn om met de wagen
tot aan de place des sciences te geraken.
Daarentegen zijn 2 verdiepingen parkings beschikbaar onder het gebouw.
Het zijn gratis parkings en altijd vrij
tijdens het weekend. Het gaat hier over
de parking « Sciences » of « P23 » die zich
bevindt op la Voie des Hennuyers net na
het nummer 37.

Met de auto : Louvain-LaNeuve bevindt zich aan uitrit 8A op de
autosnelweg E411 (Brussel-Namen).

Due to the fact that the center of
town is carfree from 10 :00 on, a gps
won’t be much of a help to reach the
‘place des sciences’ On the other hand,
you will find 2 accessible parking lots
under the building. It’s free and almost
empty during weekends. The parking
concerned is called ‘Sciences’ or P23
at the adress ‘Voie des Hennuyers’ just
after number 37.

de Days of Wonder.

het toernooi uit de regio via de forums
van Days of Wonder.
For those who want to minimize
expenses, there’s always the ability
to adress you to one of the local participants of the tournament and this
through the Days of Wonder forums.

Maaltijden
Dining options
Louvain-La Neuve est une ville universitaire et son centre dispose de nombreux
snacks, fast foods, restaurants et supermarchés. Des sandwiches, boissons et
snacks seront également disponibles
sur le lieu du tournoi.
Louvain-la-Neuve is een universiteitsstad en het centrum bevat een veelvoud
aan snacks, fast foods, restaurants en
warenhuizen. Broodjes, dranken en
snacks zullen eveneens te bekomen zijn
op de plaats van het toernooi.
Louvain-la-Neuve is a college city and
has multiple snacks, fast foods, restaurants and stores. Sandwiches, drinks and
snacks will be available at the place of
the tournament
Le samedi soir, sur le lieu du tournoi,
vous aurez la possibilité de prendre un
repas chaud entre les deux manches de
la partie Brektrough. Le prix est de 20 €
(buffet de pâtes à volonté et desserts)
mais vous êtes libres de manger ailleurs
si vous le désirez. Réservation obligatoire pour le 15 septembre au plus tard.
Op zaterdagavond, op de plaats van het
toernooi, heeft u de mogelijkheid om te
genieten van een warme maaltijd tussen
de 2 partijen van het Breakthroughscenario. De prijs bedraagt 20 € (pastabuffet en desserts à volonté). Uiteraard
staat het u volledig vrij om aan deze
maaltijd deel te nemen. Reservatie is wel
gewenst ten laatste voor 15 september.
On Saturday evening, on the place
of the tournament, we give you the
possibility to join our splendid pasta
and desserts buffet (as much as you can
eat) which will take place between the
2 Breakthrough parties. The price is set
at 20 €. You are of course not obliged
to stay and participate at the buffet.
Reservation for the buffet is required
before the 15th of September.

pseudo et la langue dans laquelle il
peut vous aider.
Elke scheidsrechter en organisator
zal een badge dragen met hierop zijn

dewelke hij u kan helpen.
Every referee and organiser will wear a
badge with the following information :
name, pseudo and the language he can
help you in.
Si jamais vous deviez affronter un
adversaire qui ne parle pas votre langue
et que la magie du jeu n’opère pas,
n’hésitez pas à nous appeler pour vous
aider.
In het geval u een tegenstander treft
die uw taal niet spreekt en de magie
van het spel niet voldoende is, aarzel
niet hulp in te roepen van één van de
organisatoren en/of scheidsrechters.
In case your opponent doesn’t speak
your language and the magic of the
game isn’t sufficient, do not hesitate to
call assistance of one of the organisers
and/or referees.
