On Friday the 24th of October, the Leiden University Medical Center will host the next PLAN day.
Keynote speakers include dr. D. Peters (ADPKD), dr. J. Rotmans (tissue engineering, HD access), and
prof. dr. A. van Zonneveld (vascular biology). Local researchers will provide us with insights into their
work. As always, the day wouldn’t be complete without a surprise activity at lunch time and drinks at
the end of the day! Expect a definitive programme soon.

NfN fall scientific symposium 2014
On Friday the 10th of October, the next edition of the Dutch Federation of Nephrology fall scientific
symposium takes place. The programme includes an attractive mix of a number of invited lectures, oral,
and poster presentations, covering a wide range of clinical and experimental nephrology subjects. There
are significant prizes to be won for the best oral presentation and the best poster.
The day is closed with a PLAN borrel.

“NIER OP MAAT”
In collaboration with the Dutch Kidney Foundation, the Radboud UMC will
organise an event to inform the (lay) public on the current status and the future
of regenerative nephrology research, called “Nier op maat”. The evening will see
invited lectures by Dr. Roos Masereeuw and prof. dr. Ton Rabelink, a peek into the
“virtual kidney lab” and an interactive panel discussion. Attendance is open to
anyone, but lectures and discussions will be in Dutch only.
Venue: Radboud UMC, Nijmegen. Wednesday 15 October, 19:00. Registration: nieropmaat.nl
ASN KIDNEY WEEK – PLAN BORREL
This year’s ASN Kidney Week will kick off in Philadelphia November
11th. Those attending are cordially invited to join us for drinks in the
evening of Friday November,14th at a yet-to-be-disclosed location
nearby the conference venue. PLAN borrels have proven to be a great
opportunity to unwind while socialising with fellow researchers, so be
there!
