Zeeland port companies strengthen international promotion
From 2015 the Zeeland Ports News magazine will reach a wider and more international
audience with an ambitious new editorial focus and striking look and feel, says Henk de Haas,
Chairman of the magazine’s publisher, the Zeeland Port Promotion Council (ZPPC). This
week ZPPC, the promotion and networking organisation for the port community of Vlissingen
and Terneuzen, awarded the long-term contract for the magazine to Zeeland-based maritime
publishing house Yellow & Finch Publishers.
“ZPPC distributes the magazine to an increasing number of port clients and stakeholders
around the world,” Mr De Haas says. “Plus, what we’ve seen is that many of ZPPC’s more
than 100 member companies are increasingly adopting Zeeland Port News to promote their
business by highlighting the joint strength of Zeeland’s port infrastructure. To support those
goals, we’re stepping up the editorial and printing quality with the help of Yellow & Finch
Publishers.”
In Terneuzen, Mr De Haas and Pepijn Nuijten, Managing Director of Multraship Towage &
Salvage and ZPPC Secretary, signed the contract for the magazine with Yellow & Finch
Publishers CEO Charles van den Oosterkamp.
“We’re delighted to have been awarded this contract and very much look forward to
supporting the member companies' promotional efforts,” Mr Van den Oosterkamp says.
“Particularly as a local Zeeland business, we’re proud to play a role in achieving ZPPC’s
goals. We have a strong track record in maritime publications, plus native English speaking
editors and international industry connections, so I’m convinced that we will deliver the
quality that the port companies require.”
Founded in 2004, Yellow & Finch Publishers is a family-owned business located in
Vlissingen. In addition to providing maritime publishing and promotion services such as
Zeeland Port News, the company publishes international trade journals including Offshore
Industry, ShipBuilding Industry, SuperYacht Industry, Port Industry and the Maritime
Services Directory.
