TRACK PAD FIXTURE (TPF) DESCRIPTION Safety, accuracy and speed are values preached by Hytorc. Reason for us to keep developping and improving our products. The result of this process is a reaction arm with an universal socket. The socket is placed over the bolt which it supports onto. The arm conducts all reaction forces. Adjustable in longitudinal direction to adapt to the mutual centre distance of the bolts. Safe, because both (male hex) sockets are placed over the bolts. The bolts are covered completely. The chance of the operator getting pinched between the reaction arm and reaction point is nil. No more damaged valuable coatings or materials; the tool always supports against a (neighbour)bolt and never against the flange, housing or pipe. Another advantage is that the sideload diminishes and the wear and need for maintenance decreases when the reaction point is further away. The accuracy of the reached bolt load increases when the reaction arm supports on a more distant point. This is of great influence, especially in case of a small mutual centre distance between the bolts. The TPF is available in various sizes which makes it useful for several applications. This reaction arm is interchangeable for: AVANTI-series hydraulic torque wrench- socket type ICE-series hydraulic torque wrench- socket type jGUN-series pneumatic torque wrench FLASH-series electric torque wrench The standard available lengths are in stock, however any length is possible. In stead of universal sockets, also twelve point sockets, raised sockets and male hex sockets can be used. Attention: The TPF is not symmetrical; in some situations this can lead to more restricted availability. The tool is not 360° rotatable on the arm, but just about 180°. The arm supports on the bolt directly next to the bolt that gets tightened. The reaction force is exerted on that same bolt. The bolted joint is loosened. Just change the drive direction of the tool. The arm can also be used in the opposite position. In this picture the connection is tightened.
