JT-H262とは
・本標準は、ディジタル蓄積メディア、ＴＶ放送や通信といった多様なアプリケー
ションを目的とし、動画および付随する音声の汎用符号化方法への高まる要求に
応えるため開発された。本標準の利用により、動画をコンピュータのデータ形式で
扱ったり、色々な蓄積メディアに記録したり、更に、動画を現状および将来のネッ
トワークを介して送受信したり、現状および将来の放送チャネルを通して配送する
ことが実現可能となる。
・本標準の内容は、ISO/IEC 13818-2 MPEG-2 Video とも共通である。
・第8版の文書には具体的な規定内容は含んでおらず、規定はすべて準拠元である
ITU-T勧告によっている。具体的な規定内容はITU-T勧告Ed.3 H.262(02/2012)を参
照する必要がある。
※ITU-T勧告内容の参考和訳については、TTC技術レポートTR-1056により別途供給さ
れている（但し現状最新版は旧ITU-T勧告Ed.2.6 H.262(2000)(02/2012)に基づく）。

RELATIONS WITH ITU-T RECOMMENDATION
本標準の第7版は、ITU-T SG16により承認され出版されたITU-T勧告H.262
(02/2000)及びそのAmendment 1 (11/2000)、Corrigendum 1 (11/2000)、
Corrigendum 2 (05/2006)、Amendment 2 (01/2007)、Amendment 3 (03/2009)に
準拠していた。
今回の本標準第8版は、2012年2月にITU-T SG16により承認され統合文書(*)と
して出版されたITU-T勧告H.262(02/2012)に準拠した簡略標準である。
(*)ITU-T勧告H.262(02/2012)は2013年9月6日の正式出版に際して、2013年3月にITU-T SG16により
承認されたAmendment 1 (03/2013)の内容が盛り込まれた。

Summary
Amendment 1 to ITU-T H.262 (2012) | ISO/IEC 13818-2 (2013) extends the
prior specifications of signalling indications for frame packing arrangements for
3D content (in Annex D) by adding the definition of a side by side frame packing
arrangement with quincunx sampling.
