Weekday Mass Schedule Change – The weekday
Masses for April 21-23 will be cancelled while
Msgr. Scott is attending continuing education.
Associate Pastor Coming to St. Stephen in June –
Rev. Charles “Rick” Hobbs, III has been appointed
associate pastor by Bishop Anthony Taylor. Fr. Rick
will also be the administrator of St. John the
Evangelist Church in Huntsville. Let us welcome him
to St. Stephen warmly.
New Rectory – Because of the addition of an associate
pastor, we were advised by Bishop Taylor that present
living arrangements were inadequate to accommodate
two priests. It is customary for priests to live “off
campus” away from the workplace. The Finance
Council, along with the Parish Council, has worked to
secure the upcoming purchase of a suitable home in
the Allen Croft Subdivision which is very near our
church. We have been allocating funds for the
purchase of the home for quite some time and will be
able to purchase the home without obtaining
additional debt. Please prayerfully consider the
stewardship requirement needed to properly support
our parish priests, their new home and all of our
parish activities. We welcome Fr. Hobbs to our parish
family.
Plans are being made for use of the old rectory
by our youth ministry department.
cerca a nuestra iglesia. Hemos estado destinando
Registration for Fall Classes has Begun – Classes for
religious education for kids/youth 4 yrs. through the
12th grade is open for the 2015-16 year. Look for the

fall, when the Religious Education classes begin.
Flautists Coming to Visit – At the Saturday evening
Vigil Mass at 5:00 pm on May 16 two guest flautists
from Little Rock will be joining our regular music
ministers. All are welcome.
Columbarium Expansion – You’ve no doubt seen
some construction going on at the south end of the
church! This is the phase II expansion of the
St. Stephen columbarium. Our current columbarium
has been sold out and interest from our parishioners
continues to grow. Cremation is becoming an
increasingly desirable option and we are blessed at
St. Stephen to have a beautiful and pastoral setting as
a resting place for family and loved ones. Construction
should last 6 weeks, & when finished, we will have a
“mirror image” of our current columbarium. Should
you wish to find out additional information regarding
arrangements to purchase space or to learn more about
cremation, please contact any columbarium member or
Charlotte Champagne at (479) 531-9345.
LifeTeen News – Our next Life Night will be this
Sunday, April 19 from 6-8pm. Bring a couple of bucks

Sunday, April 26.

Wednesday, April 22 from 7:00-8:30pm. Boys will be
in the library and girls will be in the St. Anne room.
Steubenville is a fabulous weekend retreat
conference over the summer for incoming freshmen
through graduating seniors. Students 18-20 years can
also attend as young adult leaders. This year, we will
be attending the Springfield, MO location Friday, July
17 - Sunday, July 19. Please contact Krystina for
more information
Graduation Mass and Celebration – All of our St.
Stephen graduating seniors and their families are
invited to a special graduation Mass and Dinner on
Sunday, May 3! Students should plan to arrive at the
Church by 4:30 pm with their graduation gowns. They
will be recognized and will receive a blessing at the 5
pm LifeTeen Mass. Immediately following Mass and
pictures, there will be a dinner in the Family Life
Center. Please contact Krystina Tacchi via e-mail
[email protected] with any questions
or to RSVP with the number that will be attending.

An important mission that TOGETHER our actions
should display our care for all minors around us. This
is a great opportunity to spend some time and share
throughout this month, that child abuse in all its

of Antioch as an image of the Christian life, we can say
that sainthood consists of allowing ourselves to be
made in to the Eucharistic Christ for one another.
During this retreat we will look at/consider what it
might mean to be transformed from “Grains of Wheat”
into the “Pure Bread of Christ.” Resident cost is $195,
commuter fee is $150 there is a $50 non-refundable,
non-transferable deposit required at time of
registration. To register, call (479)783-1135 or visit
