附属図書館は、昭和24年の鳥取大学誕生と同時にその母体となった前身

附属図書館は、昭和24年の鳥取大学誕生と同時にその母体となった前身校の図書館・図書室を包括して発足し、現在、鳥取
地区にある中央図書館と、米子地区にある医学図書館で構成しています。いずれも、教育・研究や学習に必要な図書館資料を
収集・整理して利用に供するとともに、電子ジャーナルの導入、文献データベースの整備、情報リテラシ教育への参画などを
通じて学内の学術情報の流通基盤として機能し、鳥取大学における教育・研究活動を支援することを目的としています。同時
に、鳥取県内の公共図書館等と連携を行い、地域の学術センターとして地域社会への情報発信基地の役割を担うことを任務
とし、生涯学習活動を支援するため、広く市民に公開しています。なお、中央図書館は平成22年4月リニューアルオープンし
ました。
The University Library was started as a successor to the libraries
and library rooms of the predecessor Colleges and Schools in
1949,when Tottori University was founded. At present, the Library
is composed of the Main Library on the Tottori Campus and the
Medical Library on the Yonago Campus. We aim to support
education and research activities by providing academic information
and in information in Tottori University through the introduction of
electronic journals, expansion of the database on the published
information and information literacy education as well as the
collection, classification and lease of materials for participation
education and research. At the same time, being affiliated with other
public libraries in Tottori Prefecture, we play a role as an academic
information center in the region and lease materials to the general
public to support lifelong learning activities. We finished renovation
of the Central Library and reopened in April, 2010.

数々の資料を郷土資料として
所蔵しています。旧鳥取県師
範学校郷土研究室が所蔵して
いた「第十代鳥取藩主池田慶
行公直筆の絵画」や「因幡國
岩井郡古図」また、旧高等農
学校時代から受け継いだ学制
頒布50周年記念図書の一部で
ある「朝顔図鑑」など芸術的
にも価値の認められる刊本・
写本を所蔵しています。
We keep many regional materials that reveal the histories of Tottori Prefecture and
Tottori University. They include rare books and copies of artistic value such as the
“Drawing Painted by Lord Yoshiyuki Ikeda, the 10th head of Tottori-han Province” and
the “Old Map of Iwai District of Inaba no kuni” kept by the Regional Research Division
of the former Tottori Prefectural Normal School, and the “Illustrated Book of Morning
Glories,” part of a book published to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the
promulgation of the educational system, which was in the possession of the former
Tottori Advanced Agricultural School.

高度ながん治療体制が確立されました。がんセ
ンターではがん診療のみならず、
がんの専門職を養成するなど山陰地方におけるがん診療の拠点を目指しています。
さらに、
平成23年３月には、
精神科・神経内科・脳神経外科・脳神経小児科の４診療科が質の高い高度な専門医療を共同・連携
して行う脳とこころの医療センターとER3室・除染室等を備えた救命救急センターの新棟が完成しました。
附属病院の社会的責務は診療のみではなく教育と研究があります。
優れた医療人の教育・養成機関として卒前教育、
卒後教育
はもとより、
医療従事者の専門再教育、
さらには一般社会への医療・福祉に関する社会教育にも積極的に活動を展開しています。
研究機関として各種疾患の病態の解明、
新しい診断・治療方法の開発など絶えず世界に向けて情報を発信しています。
The University Hospital of the Faculty of Medicine at Tottori University has many high-level staff members and is equipped with the latest facilities. It acts as a
central core hospital for the San-in district, and is trusted implicitly by the local population. There are 34 Divisions of specialized medical care, and top-class
medical care is available to patients day and night, rivaling the best hospitals in the country.
The hospital has made a major contribution to regional emergency medical care through the establishment of two special facilities set up in response to strong
local demand with the support of the Tottori Prefectural government and its municipalities: an Emergency Medical Center, a General Maternity and Obstetrics
Center and a Cancer Center.
Moreover, in 2009, the Radiation Therapy building (in March) and Cancer Center facilities(in October) were refurbished to a state-of-the-art, highly accurate
radiation therapy system well respected in Western Japan, and an advanced system for cancer treatment in the San-in region, respectively. This center aims to
be a core for cancer management by supplying both cancer treatment and education for cancer experts in the San-in district.
Additionally, in March 2011 the“Brain and Mind Medical Center”comprising 4 clinical departments - Psychiatry, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and
Neuropediatrics - which together provide high-quality and special advanced medical treatment, and a new building of the Emergency Medical Center that became
possible to receive two or more serious cases were completed.
The social responsibility of Tottori University Hospital is not simply to provide medical care but also to promote education and research. Not only does it
provide undergraduate and postgraduate education to medical students as a high-level education and training organization for medical personnel, it also actively
promotes activities such as specialized advanced education for medical care workers and social education on medical care and welfare to the public.
As a research organization, the hospital promotes pathological analysis of various diseases, the development of new methods of diagnosis and medical
treatments, etc. and globally transmits information on these achievements.

ロックにおいて盛んに制作、著作された

ョン」などの、いずれもユニークな資料
を所蔵しています。

magazines,“Gazette des Beaux-Arts,
Series1-6 (1859-1982)”and the
“Emblem Collection”, drawn in the
Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the
Baroque periods.
