Asia Fashion Fair Spring Autumn Osaka·Tokyo·Japan 2003 2004 1st 2nd 3rd 2005 4th 5th 2006 6th 7th 2007 8th 9th 2008 10th 11th The Exhibition The Asia Fashion Fair (AFF) is the continuation of the China Fashion Fair (CFF), the latter being successfully hosted in Japan since 2003. The demand in Japan for Chinese OEM / ODM textile and apparel suppliers increased rapidly since the beginning of the new Millennium. In order to meet the market requirements, the Chinatex Corporation together with the Japan-China Economic Relations and Trade Center jointly initiated the CFF exhibition. The fair has been well received in the industries of China and Japan and strongly supported by local governments and economic and trade organizations in Japan. The following organisations supported the inception of the new fair: Credit Exchange Agency, DAISEN Ltd., Japan Apparel & Fashion Industry Council, Japan Council Of Shopping Centers, Japan Fashion Association, Kansai Fashion Association, Nippon Interior Fabrics Association, Osaka Branch of JETRO, Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Osaka City, Osaka Prefectural Government, The Association for the Promotion of International Trade Japan, The Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Japan External Trade Organization(JETRO), The Japan Textile Exporters Association, The Japan Textiles Importers Association, The Kansai Bureau of Economy, Tokai Japan-China Trade Center, Trade and Industry (METI-KANSAI). The fair organisers are striving to exploit the business effects of the exhibition, establishing an efficient key-platform for the industry of China and Japan. CFF has thus become the most representative OEM/ODM trade-fair in Japan being hosted twice a year – in the spring in Osaka and in the autumn in Tokyo. Underlining the so-called “China+1” scenario, Japan’s industrial demand within the Asian region has been diversifying in recent years, increasingly covering procurement requirements in South East Asia. To meet the purchaser’s demand within a “China+1” setting, AFF aims at increasing the number of Asian exhibitors to provide opportunities for companies from across the region by joining an existing trade platform, helping to increase the industrial exposure of the enterprise. The new AFF name will be officially adapted on 22 September 2014. AFF is sponsored by the Japan AFF Ltd. company and organized by AFF Organizing Committee. The former CFF Organisers (the Chinatex Corporation, the Japan-China Economic Relations and Trade Center and the Chinatex Advertising & Exhibition Co., Ltd.) have concertedly setup the fair’s operational framework while the Japan-China Economic Relations and Trade Center continues to be the co-sponsor of AFF. AFF’S logo: Full name: Asia Fashion Fair The ‘Mydome Osaka’ exhibition hall where the AFF spring edition is hosted annually (mid-April) The ‘BigSight’ exhibition hall in Tokyo where the AFF autumn edition is hosted annually (first half of September) Elements of Influence Scale and Effects: Export capacities of textile and apparel products as represented by the fair’s portfolio account for more than 15% of the total import volume of Japan, covering the latest OEM / ODM products and trends. According to the visitors questionnaires aires, the proportion of expected deals and intended deals exceeds 90%. In average, each exhibitor meets more than 50 active customers, the share of new targets accounting for 60%. Promotion: We promote the fair in the general media as well as in selected trade publications to continue to increase the level of brand awareness.
