Liebe KongressteilnehmerInnen,
am Mittwoch den 13.05.2015 beginnt der 60. Kongress der FUEN in Komotini. Es ist der erste Kongress
der FUEN in Griechenland.
Wir wünschen allen eine angenehme Anreise und einen schönen Aufenthalt. Anbei übersenden wir Euch
die aktuellen Shuttle Informationen mit der Kontaktnummer.
Aktuell haben wir in Komotini 25 Grad und Sonnenschein. Am Abend kühlt es auf 10-15 Grad ab. Der
Kongress findet sowohl im Hotel als auch außerhalb (Stadt, Dörfer, Exkursion) statt. Bitte entsprechende
Kleidung mitnehmen.
Der Kongress findet im Hotel Chris and Eve statt (www.chris-eve.com). Wegen der hohen Nachfrage wird
die Unterkunft in mehreren Hotels am Platz vorgenommen. Die Verteilung nehmen die Veranstalter vor.
Check-In ist im jeweiligen Hotel. Die Registration der KongressteilnehmerInnen erfolgt im Chris & Eve.
Die Kongressgebühr wird vor Ort erhoben (25,00 Euro für Mitglieder/Journalisten und 50,00 Euro für
Nicht-Mitglieder). Auf Wunsch erhalten die Organisationen auch eine Rechnung vorab zum Überweisen.
Alle stimmberechtigten Mitglieder sind aufgefordert zu überprüfen, dass der Mitgliedsbeitrag vorab
entrichtet wurde.
Das aktuelle Kongressprogramm liegt bei. Aktuelle Änderungen sind möglich. Die Erstellung der
endgültigen Liste der Grußworte und Grußredner zur Eröffnung, am 14.05.15 wird bis Donnerstag
spannend bleiben. Am selben Tag werden in Komotini die Feierlichkeiten zur Unabhängigkeit /Befreiung
West-Thrakiens von Bulgarien begangen.
Im Programm gibt es am Freitag, dem 15.05.15, unter dem Motto „Hoch und Tiefs von Flensburg nach
Komotini“ Diskussionsbeiträge der einzelnen Organisationen zu aktuellen Fragen zu platzieren.
Anmeldungen werden bei der Registratur entgegengenommen.
Traditionell findet am Eröffnungstag der Markt der Völker statt. Hierfür, sowie für Geschenke für die
Gastgeber vor Ort, bitten wir Euch um entsprechende Mitbringsel, sofern dass die Wahl der Reisemittel
ermöglichen.

Der 60. Kongress der Föderalistischen Union Europäischer Volksgruppen (Federal Union of European
Nationalities – FUEN) findet vom 13.-17.05.2015 in Komotini/Gümülcine/Κομοτηνή, Griechenland statt.
Der Kongress wird in Zusammenarbeit mit den FUEN Mitgliedsorganisationen der Föderation der
Westthrakien Türken in Europa (ABTTF), Western Thrace Minority University Graduates
Association (BTAYTD) und DEB Partisi organisiert.
Dear Participants in the Congress,
Wednesday the 60th Congress of FUEN will begin in Komotini. It will be the first congress of FUEN in
Greece.
We wish you all a pleasant stay and a good journey. Attached we send you the current shuttle
information with contact numbers.
At the moment it is 25 degrees in Komotini, with sunshine. In the evening it cools down to about 10 to 15
degrees. The Congress will take place in the hotel but also outside (in the town, villages and excursion).
Please bring the right clothing with you.
The Congress will take place in Hotel Chris & Eve (www.chris-eve.com). Because of high demand
accommodation will provided in a number of hotels. The organisers will distribute the available rooms.
You will have to check-in in the hotel where you will stay. The registration for the Congress is taking
place in Hotel Chris & Eve.
We will charge the Congress fee when you arrive (25 Euro for Members / journalists and 50,00 Euro for
non-Members). On request organisations can receive an invoice and transfer the amount in advance.
All the Members who are entitled to vote, should check in advance, whether they did pay the
membership fee of FUEN in advance.
The latest Congress programme is attached to this letter. There may be last-minute changes. It will
continue to be exciting to see what the final list with welcoming speeches will eventually look like at the
opening of Thursday 14 May. That same day the independence / liberation of Western Thrace from
Bulgaria will be celebrated.
In the programme on Friday 15 May, there will be a session on “Ups and downs from Flensburg to
Komotini”, for which we will invite the organisations to speak up about topical issues. We will collect
your proposals during registration.
Traditionally the Minority Market takes place on the first day. We kindly ask you to bring something for
this Market and also to bring presents for the hosts, as far as that is possible because of your way of
transport.

The 60th Congress of the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) will take place in Komotini/
Κομοτηνή/ Gümülcine, Greece from 13-17 May 2015.
The Congress will be organised in cooperation with FUEN member organisations the Federation of
Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF), Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association
(BTAYTD) and DEB Partisi.
